My boyfriend says that he is ready to spend his whole life with me but he is scared of marriage?

It's not that he doesn't love you any less, it's just that he's feeling uncertain of what the future holds for the relationship, based on what's happening currently and maybe even past events.

Perhaps he's been influenced by negative impressions of marriage from people around him, or he may have low self-esteem and doesn't believe he's good enough for marriage. Maybe it's a desire to be more financially stable to feel adequate to marry you or perhaps it's that he has a fear of what marriage would be like with you in a bad light and wishes to stay comfortable with where the relationship is currently with you. People change later on , I’ve seen it and I’ve experienced marriage, men don’t change but women always try to change the man when they change, hopefully you’re not like that but he sees it as a big commitment
