Most people in their 20s are not in their first relationship. Clearly they haven't found what they're looking for. Can you know what you actually need in a relationship without failing in a previous one?
Great point. We learn most when we fail. The biggest part of the failure is fixing our 50% of what caused the failure.
The learning curve is in the Self area not what the other person did and did not possess. That first serious relationship sure helps determine personal limitations as related to woman bull💩

I agree with @LazerBean
And, no, you don't need to fail. Yes, learning from failure can help us improve in many things.
BUT... it's not a guarantee in relationships. I could fail in my current relationship and then do the same thing with another woman and that relationship would be successful.
And there are plenty of people who have one relationship and it works and they didn't have failure prior to that.
Failure is not a necessity. The less failure, the less emotional baggage, the better.

I have not had any failed relationships... so you can also learn from positive experiences
as in, you just confirm yourself that what you had is what you wanted... but then you needed more, for an even better relationship
many things really are about timing... that is something I learned very early in life...I do have friends that married their first and only have 1 relationship to go by. So…when you have met your match I think you know, I don’t think u need to fail at one. For some it’s their first or 3rd or 23rd.
for me I have failed at some, and it helped!are you implying its a new, modern thing? because a lot of reports say, that young men, as in, lots of men in their 20s, are not having sex, and that would mean, more single adults today than ever before
I don't think you do, but I also never had a relationship so it might differ.
