If you have a long distance relationship and you NEVER meet, is it really a relationship?

If you have a long distance relationship and you NEVER meet, is it really a relationship?

If you meet someone online and you NEVER meet in person, that mean you never

held hands

hugged

had a first kiss

had a makeout session

had sex together

Those are all things that people do in traditional relationships, at least eventually. Yes, of course, if you don't have the "distractions" of a physical relationship, you can pay attention to getting to know each other better, but. . . isn't that what they call "friendship?"

What do you think? LDR + never meet = not a relationship?

If you never meet in a LDR, it's not really a dating relationship
If you never meet in a LDR, it's a dating relationship if that is all you want in a dating relationship
If you never meet in a LDR, it's a dating relationship because you compensate by becoming closer in other ways
Something else that I'll explain in a comment
