It shouldn't be.. because they CAN control it.. and they DO, when they respect the man they're with.
This is an observable pattern across all heterosexual relationships.
When the woman respects the man, her period doesn't influence her behavior towards him that much. When she doesn't, that's when she lets it make her bitchy.
I shouldn't have to listen to "hOW mUcH iT hUrTs" when I tell other men that if a woman's period changes her, she doesn't respect them.
I don't fucking care how much it hurts.. neither should her man. No excuses for toxicity. None.

Okay. First of: I do care how much it hurts and you should too. Saying that pain is irrelevant is silly. Not a single doctor would agree. If I am sawing your arm off no one will blame you for screaming or cursing me as I do - even if it eas to save your life.
Second, of course women should be able to control themselves 99.9% of the time during a period. It is not a hot take. Much like I don't smash people's face in if they annoy me because I have more testosterone. We all should be able to control our emotions and do so when it is suitable.
But that isn't stopping me from having a little more understanding if she is in pain. Or buying a chocolate bar as a little pick-me-up present.
Better not scream and curse at me for pain I'm not causing.
And sure I'm understanding of things like her mood being changed. Still can't disrespect me.
That much is fair. No issues.
