My mom would tell me this as a child and now as an adult. She said you can never have sex with a boyfriend, or he won’t marry you. If you get married man will stay forever with you. Yet I see people divorced single moms, and I doubt girls date a guy 10 years then get married. I know relationships last many years with a guy before marriage unless you are lucky or want marry fast after dating a guy only 3 months or less than a year. I cannot imagine a relationship with no romance as even a kiss leads to more. A kiss you feel it all over your body and it would be weird just going on fun dates no romance til marriage.
