Why do we call it "relationships" since men and women can't "relate" to each other entirely? Or can they? If so, do they?

I've always wondered whether most "relationships" are actually content and happy.

It's one thing to "can" and another thing to "do".

Can men and women truly relate (entirely) or are they just technically "two singles" living together?

If so, do they?

Emotionally and/or sexually?

Maybe they can (and do) but we will never be "happy" unless we "open up" and discuss gender specific experiences, issues and narratives.

Are they only "coupled" due to pressure from society?

Are they only showing off?

Do they only care about status?

Do they only care about sexual compatibility?

If so, then the purpose of "relationships" is deemed useless, unless they emotionally connect. Human beings require a social "connection". We want to "share the experience".

Otherwise, you are just "two singles" living together.

You might as well (and rather be) literally single.

They can (but don't) relate to each other entirely
They can't relate to each other entirely
