How do I get my mom to stop embarrassing me in front of my girlfriend?

My girlfriend dresses very casually, and my mom always smack-talks her. My girlfriend said to her, "Your is more mature than most men", and my mom said, "I am sure you've been with many men to understand that" my girlfriend got upset, and we left out her house.

I don't know how to get her to like her. My mom doesn't want to approve of her. I know it sounds silly that I care about what my mom thinks, but I believe there is no one in the world that will love you more than your parents. Your wife can always leave you. Your kids can leave you in a retirement home to die. But to me there is no woman or man that will love you more than your mom and dad. As long as they are not abusive.

My mom and dad are still together and they always showed me nothing, but love. She is just thinks my girlfriend is a gold digger or a cheater.
