It's his hard earned money I try to never spend it. I look for free things to do so he doesn't have to spend his money.
I always offer to pay every time but he always turns me down, I feel bad every time he pays but I try not to show it so deeply because I am not seeking to insult him or weird him out.
But I'm not sure what he'd think if I truly told him that I feel really bad when I spend his money. I tell him that I look for free things to do, I'm not sure if he knows the reason behind it.
I read a post on Reddit where women were saying a guy will respect you less and eventually cheat on you because you aren't letting him treat you like a high value woman by having him buy you expensive gifts and putting effort to keep you. I was wondering if that is true? Here is the page: https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/lcvc13/never_feel_bad_spending_a_mans_money_if_he_gives/

It's understandable to feel conflicted about spending someone else's money, especially if you care about them and want to be respectful of their hard work. However, it's important to remember that your boyfriend likely enjoys spending time and money on you because he cares about you and wants to make you happy. It's also important to communicate openly and honestly with him about your feelings.
It's possible that your boyfriend is aware of your efforts to find free activities and may appreciate your consideration for his finances. However, if you are feeling guilty or uncomfortable with the current arrangement, it may be worth having a conversation with him about how you can balance your desire to be respectful with your desire to enjoy time together.
As for the Reddit post you mentioned, it's important to remember that every relationship is different and there is no one "right" way to show love and appreciation for someone. It's important to prioritize open communication, mutual respect, and shared values in any relationship. If you and your boyfriend have different perspectives on spending money or gift-giving, it's important to discuss your concerns and find a solution that works for both of you.
