I did betray although I didn't mean to but I did.
I've felt very guilty about it for the past 35 years.

It's a long story and I don't have time now to discuss it - maybe later - but I feel really bad about this and I don't think my buddy ever knew that his girlfriend and I messed around while they were together. I withdrew a bit from him because I couldn't stand what I did and I regret it even to this day because, after that, we weren't as close as we had been. He probably wonders why. I never told him the truth.
On the upside, they did break-up shortly thereafter.

Yes, I was "betrayed" but that's because she was going to leave me anyway, so that really doesn't count.

Oh but you're talking about your partner. Who did she cheat with? Why was she going to leave you?

Well, this is when I was young and single. My first girlfriend dumped me. 5 years later I was able to ask her why because I was confused. She said "I was fickle" and 5.5 years of guilt went *poof*.

Then there's my exGF who dumped me in JAN 1992. She didn't cheat on me, but she dumped me and promptly got a new boyfriend. She would have been in demand and the moment she was available, others would come a-knocking. I never recovered and I haven't spoken to her in 29 years nor had any 2-way communication in 26 years... since the 20th Century in Second Millennium.

Friends and cousin have betrayed me in this way by going for someone we both liked that supposedly chose me. Lets just say i’ve gotten my revenge once or twice. But i try not to fight dirty for the most part. In these cases, however, Dirty Desi fought extremely dirty 🤷‍♀️
