What if our lives lasted just one day?

What if our lives lasted just one day?

I am reading a book “The Remains of the Day” and looking at the title, I thought, what if my whole life is just a day and the rest of my life is the remain of my day.

What if the ages from 1-25 is the early morning, you wake up, you are a bit confused, half awaken, everything is still dreamy, that’s your childhood, then you have a breakfast and start the crazy day, that’s your teenage years till 25.

Then at 25, the morning turns into the noon and you start having the sunny afternoon, that lasts before 05:00 and to 50 in human years, then from 50 to 70 - from 6 pm to 9 pm you enjoy the breezy evening.

And then comes the cozy night and a midnight.

If I look at it this way, each part of the day has something to love about. Something we enjoy a lot about it.

If I look at my life as just one day, I won’t feel sadness for any losses, instead I will think, what a full day I had!!!

I lived, I loved, I laughed, I cried, I laughed again, I was loved.

Is ‘t that beautiful?

And if my life lasted just one day, wouldn’t I want to relive it again?

I would totally want.

So, I think in the time of loss we can look at the life as if it is just one day in it’s entirety and instead of thinking what we lost, we can think, we had a great and a full day, a day worth living, because we had something worth having, something worth crying, something worth loving and it’s exciting to think what the afternoon, evening and a night has to offer to us.
