Those "sit on your ass all day" jobs are going to be disappearing at a rapid rate over the next few years, replaced by AI, which is being accelerated by the recession.

To me, he sounds like a spoiled, entitled child, and that is NOT who you are going to want to be with long-term. You should really give that some deep thought.

Do you know who is going to be doing better 5 years from now? The blue-collar workers who swing hammers, who run wires, who install solar panels, and who drive busses, and certainly doctors, researchers, and other heavy science folks. Those people will be much harder to replace.
