She said I make her uncomfortable?

Anonymous

I was on the phone with the girl that I've been seeing now for 7 months and in our previous phone call, I called her "gorgeous" and she told me to stop it very firmly and I asked her if she wants me to stop saying that and she said yes. I asked her why at the time and she didn't answer me.

Today, I was on the phone with her again and I brought it up and she told me that she doesn't want me to say it makes her feel uncomfortable. This really hurt me because I used to call her gorgeous all the time and she used to love it and it would put her in the mood, but now she's telling me that she doesn't like it and it makes her uncomfortable.

Is she calling me a creep? Have I been reduced to the level of just a creep that's on her phone who's giving her compliments that make her feel uncomfortable? I don't feel very good about the situation. It makes me not want to compliment her at all moving forward. It hurts me a tremendous amount. I just went silent after that on the phone call. I don't feel like saying anymore lovey dovey stuff and it bothers me because she was the one who was telling me that I wasn't complimenting her enough and making her feel special. I don't know.

I would love some advice from you guys. I just feel like I wasted a lot of time because it makes me feel like she doesn't like me like that.
