Guys, True or False: I would be extremely bothered if my girlfriend did these tasks for me on a regular basis?

I would feel extremely uncomfortable if my girlfriend did the following for me:

1. Held the car door open for me
2. Brought me flowers at work
3. Pulled the chair out for me at dinner
4. Insisted and paid for our dinner in front of my family
5. Held the umbrella for me when it rained
6. Got down on one knee, and proposed in front of all our friends
7. Carried all our luggage at the airport
8. Told me to step aside so she could open a jar for me
9. Offered to spot me at the gym
10. Insisted she drive my car all the time

There is no way I'd "allow" my girlfriend to do these things! Sexist or not, these are things men should do

I would 100% love it if my girlfriend did all these things. I wouldn't care if she did these things for me!

Some say chivalry/gender roles should be dead as women can do most of these things that men tend to do for their partners, but if you phrase it like this, like what if she did all these things for you...most are still like, these are men's jobs/me man. me lift. me pay! Either way, it's what works for YOU and YOUR partner, everyone else can do what they want.

You know what I was 20 years old I meant this older woman and everything that we would do she wanted to pay for it and it kind of pissed me off. Then she wanted to start paying my rent I said no and then I used to race dirt bikes and she wanted to buy me a brand new dirt bike. And she did
As I was coming down the street I've seen the shop truck from the Honda shop in my driveway
My roommate and delivery guy were unloading the bike and I pulled up got out I asked Mike I good did you get a new bike he said I wish he said no it's yours

He said dude this is sweet when did you get this I said I didn't and I told the guy that was mistake
He gets out a little clipboard it has paperwork on it

It has my name on it and then underneath it it has her name and I said no there's a big mistake here I said you're going to have to take it back

He said it's already paid for and I said that's the problem I didn't pay for it... My roommate Mike is saying so what.. I told the guy again he had to take it back Mike is going I'll take it I'll take it.

I had to wait 3 days for her to get back from Colorado but I broke up with her just because of that well because about 10 other things she tried to buy me no

If my girlfriend ever did all the above I would tell her a couple times stop it please I mean if it was spur of the moment type situation but if she tried to do it every single time for me no way no way I have two arms I have two legs...

I had another girlfriend her parents were having this party type thing barbecue and we went there and next thing I know she walks up and hands me a plate of food I go with this and she goes your dinner and I just kind of like looked at her and I saw her mom going over and handing her dad some food
She went over and got her plate of food just came back and sat down next to me

I finished eating and she noticed and she started to get up she goes here let me have your plate I said no I'm fine I'm good. And when she finished her plate I grabbed a hold of it LOL I took it into the kitchen and I started doing the dishes.

She walked in and she was what are you doing I said I'm washing my hands she knows you don't have to do that I'll do that I said no you will I'll do it and when I finish I walked over and give her a big hug and I said baby please never ever do that again she said what I said don't ever fix me a plate of food please don't do it she goes what I want to and I said I don't want you to I can do it myself
Some guys might like that but I think it's rude when a woman makes her man a plate every night and he sits on his ass she does dishes she cooks it she does everything I say bull shit
At least for me it is I don't like it I want her to take care of her business I'm going to fix her plate sit down and relax I'll do the same

The hypothetical is unrealistic because half of the things listed are things I don't mind doing and can do better than her anyways. But none of these actions would make me feel uncomfortable. We're all on this so called equality binge, let's allow everyone to do everything and anything, but if you sit there and ask women do you want to mow the lawn, and men, do you want to be in charge of doing your daughers hair every morning---eh, it's like no. We want some things to change be it for me or for women, but if we are all honest, we like or feel comfortable in certain gender roles vs. wanting to abandon them altogether.
