I am in a long-distance relationship, we met a month ago and now she says she is pregnant. What do I do?

My girlfriend and I have been in a relationship since January. She lives in another country for her job, so we rarely meet. One month ago she made a surprise and came in to visit me. She stayed for one week. Since we see each other too less, we got too excited and had sex both protected and unprotected. I thought she was handling it with pills-I also made sure not to come in her. She called yesterday and told me that she is pregnant. It is not what I planned for the next 5 years of my life. I am 40 years old and she is 35 but we are living so far away. It is impossible to raise a child, plus it seems like she wants it. I don't know what to tell her, what should I do?

You are not too young either, so best make it happen and find a place where you both can live and work. As she is on assignment in a different country she may be more mobile.

I would legally accept fatherhood, but only based on a DNA test. These two things should go hand in hand. It's a routine thing to do and she should not get upset about this.

I really doubt it's yours bro, I would insist upon a paternity test before you go any further because it's far more probable that she fucked some other guy than it is that she got pregnant after having sex with you for one week and you pulled out.
