Who do you think gives the best advice/perspectives on GaG? Men or women?

So I personally miss a lot of the good answers that older women used to give on GaG years ago. So much has changed with the demographics on the Internet and social media since then, and a post-COVID world has made people a little less human.

Once upon a time you used to see really great answers on this site from females but especially the older ones in their 40s and up that were rich and detailed with serious life perspective and experience about men. Even if you didn't always agree with their thoughts, there was always something you could get out of it. Plus I would have tons of great discussions with them in DM, and not just here but on other old dead sites too like Answerbag and ExperienceProject.

I feel like most women's answers nowadays lack that depth because many are inexperienced even if they are dating or having sex, or at least not learning about either themselves or men from those experiences. Many give answers only just to have something snarky to say that bears no real life knowledge, or their only response is to attack some guy and call him an incel, or they give literal two or three word answers. It just looks like you haven't learned a lot in life that you can offer anyone.

But what do you guys think? Who do you feel like gives the best sex/relationship advice or perspectives on GaG?

Men. I've said before that this site is called "girsaskguys" not "guysaskgirls", for a reason. Because it's generally pointless for a guy to ask a serious question. Women generally will not answer a question unless they have a vested interest for asking. And the only way that happens is if it's about her in some way. And the only way to do that is ask questions that make her want to talk about herself. Or to make her angry. And since the latter is quick, easy and very predictable unfortunately that's generally the route most men go. The reverse being of course is some ask "white knight" questions.

Personally I find it easiest just to NOT ask questions. 1. I understand women about as well as a person can by now. 2. I know most the time I wouldn't get an honest answer even if I did. So what's the point.

The only thing that drive me batty is the nonsensical questions that some women ask on this site. Like one I read today, something to the effect of "boyfriend and I are watching a movie and there's a naked girl. He turns to me and smiles. What is he thinking". Like really? First of all that question is so specific. Women ask very specific questions that could have a 100 answers, some similar some not. While men ask more general questions.

And I think this is the heart of the matter I think this is why men give better advice. Guys are natural problem solvers we give general solutions that fit a variety of situations. While women focus in on feelings feelings that may or may not be relevant.

when it comes to dating and sex, i find the advice women generally give tends to be watered down and idealistic when it comes to themselves or dating cuz they refuse to ever admit to anything that makes themselves/women in general look bad. not all women though some are pretty honest. Men are usually better at explaining the harsh truth of things that’s more grounded in reality. if it’s about just random topics then both can have good advice depending on the person.

Very much prefer answers from women since they come off more straightforward and honest. Whenever I get answers from men its kind of messy in a way. They tend to write big paragraphs trying to explain something small and then I don't even understand the point they are trying to make

Interesting. I have almost never found an honest, straightforward answer from women on here unless they are anon and respond with only like two or three words with no elaboration on why they think/feel the way they do.

Are we on the same site? Lol really tho start looking at the womens vs mens answers most of the time women (the real ones) are giving the best answers.
If you notice sometimes I'll ask questions specifically to men but leave it open to women because their input even about a mens only topic is sometimes better than the mens

I do read both men and women's answers. That is why I was prompted to describe how they appear to me in the question details. No doubt, I see some good ones from chicks here and there, but I can't say they particularly impact me that deeply with their knowledge. I think men tend to think through what they want to say to you, and will include some of their own experiences, which means a little more to me. Unless they are those looooooong useless comments explaining why men or women do such and such because of "biology" or "how they're hard-wired." I usually ignore those.

I feel like women on here try to ask a lot of questions not only to be popular and gain attention, but also as a cover for the fact that deep down maybe they don't really have a lot of useful life knowledge or perspective to give us in answers.

Maybe we just trust our own genders knowledge more then the opposites. It's maybe possible that your thinking mens are better since there's more of them then womens.

And I don't know about that I just ask questions when I'm bored and want to spark a conversation or to trigger people just depends how I'm feeling

Men don’t know everything, but I think we do try to apply an honest answer with as much knowledge as possible to help someone know where we're coming from or get our point.

We're already living in a world where women are taught to ignore men and discount their voices because they don’t like what they're saying, so I think it’s great that men keep speaking anyway. We know that people are still listening and gaining something from us, even if they're not always shouting loud in agreement.

It depends on the topic being discussed. Women are better on some topics and Men are better on others.

Overall, it seems that men give better advice/perspectives on the wide range of all topics.

Mostly men give in depth, longer, thoughtful answers than women. But that doesn’t mean women give less meaningful answers either.

It's hard to say I don't think about something like this in terms of gender. I'm used to people not understanding me or what I'm dealing with in life so my expectations are generally low. The way I used gag in the past was basically if I was standing in a cave in complete darkness you can't see anything but you have tennis balls and you can shoot them all around you and by the time it takes to hit something you can judge the layout of the cave a bit and start to navigate through it. That's sort of what I did with social things and society and stuff. Every question and mytake was a tennis ball and the feedback showed me where the walls were , how people think etc. Of course when I'm positively surprised I'll gladly take advice from someone but I don't expect it.

Nowadays I've figured out my life to a large degree so I just give my opinions when I feel like it. You can never really know if your advice will actually be helpful until they've reacted to it, but if I think there's a chance I'll try that aswell :)

I have seen very clearly that women are not practiced in the art of deep thought. Philosophy is foreign to women. Actually I've seen many women become offended when men philosophize.

Women will say a lot of things but will not define terms, will not expand on an idea, and will not entertain the idea that a more thorough answer is required.

Not only on this website but in real life as well.

Women are not deep thinkers in general although there are some.

I think women are capable of deep thought. But for some reason they choose not to engage. They are so low level, that they don't even know that ideas can be expanded on.

A lot of women believe in "energy." They think their emotions know better than their logical and reason employing brains.

For women, the answer which is given to them by their emotional framework, is the truthful answer.

Women believe that they have access to high level emotions which can tell them facts of reality, that men do not have access too, because they believe men do not posses emotions to the same degree as women do.

Of course these people are absolutely ignorant about science and the dumbest people on the planet.

It's too bad so many women are lost in their spiritual enery emotional BS. Because women have capable brains just as much as men do.

Well the one good thing about gag is that there's always plenty of good answers it's just which one fits you the best I don't care if it's from a man or a woman if it's a good answer and I can fit it into whatever it is or however I see it best for me then that's the way it is but I don't have a preference of best answers I mean I could name 20 names right now I love when I see their answers because they're real they're to the point and I believe that they're a good person anyway so that's whatever fits you as a person one answer is good for one person might not be good for another person
When I answer a question I answered it the way that I see it from me and not anybody else

And sometimes when I answer question it's just to remind myself my theory on it what I believe it doesn't mean that it's good for everybody and it doesn't mean that I'm right that's for sure

Women, and you know why: because most of us don't go into incredibly unlikely extremes.

Example: When someone asks a question that involves emotions men are either on one extreme side of the spectrum or the other - it feels very unstable and unlikely that either of those opinions are actually what correlates with reality most often.

Women, on the other hand, give much more realistic answers to those kinds of questions and are therefore much more helpful - at least in my opinion.

*Now, the men's replies might be due to their own frustrations and sadness, but that still doesn't make them helpful - quote the opposite actually.

I am a women fed up with women, at least the bulk. Men have always treated me better than fellow women. I guess working in my mom's divorce practice showed me how lousy we can be and how badly men are treated.

Women believe this because growing up they are taught that as females they should be given all of the respect, support, etc., and being falsely taught that women are more moral, more put-together, or more righteous than men. So millions of women grow up believing it and think their shit don't stink. And because of it tons of them have bad behavior like you said, knowing that our world is going to let them slide.

Some even admitted they did it to see what the world of men is like, especially in the gaming community. People have been trained to believe that so many women are really men, that we completely ignore how many women out there are doing the same thing vice versa, and they're laughing because we don't suspect it.
