How do I get over insecurity surrounding height?

I’m seriously really scared right now. I’ve always been insecure of my height and a solution I’ve found are height soles in my shoes. They basically work as high heels just with normal sneakers and me wearing that isn’t something I want anyone to find out about. Today some guy in my class made a joking comment asking if I’m wearing high heels or standing on my toes in my shoes and I just said I hurt my foot so I walked a bit odd. I’m seriously overthinking it right now because I don’t want anyone knowing I’m height fishing and that I’m an insecure girl faking her height to please others. It’s embarrassing and how am I even supposed to go back to school now. I’ve heard some comments on it before but not asking what he did but I always let it slide by saying I hurt my foot and sometimes it wasn’t noticeable. I’m scared everyone knows. My best friend hasn’t made a comment on it and when I was ranting on the insecurity of my height she suggested I buy height soles because she didn’t know I already had that.

I can’t bare the thought of people knowing because it’s obviously gossip material and that’s the last thing I want, especially when I can’t control my height. For reference I’m 147 cm and with the height soles I’m 153-154 ish.

You just simply need to let go of that way of thinking. there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, i personally like girls close to my height, i'm 194cm but honestly being with someone like you (short girl that is) i wouldn't have any problem with it, in fact you being that short i would find cute and probably attractive and that says a lot since my type is opposite (height wise). you are short and that's it. If i find that cute so will many others, this world is a vast place so there are millions and millions of people who will like that you are short. Most important thing is that you accept that and love yourself for it. Life is way too damn short to spend it thinking about trivial things and things you can't change. You are perfect the way you are, keeps saying it until you start believing it, once you accept yourself and your height, your whole life, your whole world will change in a place that is 10x or even 100x more better just because you love yourself, you can't expect from others to give you self love and confidence, only you can do that and need to do that.

Stop wearing soles/shoes that make you taller, but instead do acts that embrace your shortness. That goes for any insecurity really, since insecurities are similar to lies. Once you create a lie, then you have to worry about keeping up that lie, but once you're honest, then you don't give a shit anymore.

On the other hand, if someone asks if you are, then just admit you're wearing shoes that make you taller. I know plenty of girls who do that already and I have never once thought of it as weird.

I went though the same in school. I was 5'1 for a long time (now at finale height im 5'2). Not super short but people would always make fun of me for being short. Esspecially women in a rude way, men more in a joking/teasing way. I think you should just learn to love your height. I'm happy I'm short now. I can fit in more places, I can stretch my legs at the economy airport seat/in the car and I can wear heels without being taller than my potential partner (most likely, even though I hate wearing heels). Evert height has its perks.

Also I don't know how old you are but I stopped growing at 13 maybe you still have time? Either way try to see the good in being short:).

I’m 15 and in high school and being in high school everyone’s going to make comments either to my face or behind my back. It’s the same with me when it comes to what people say, the guys joke about it in a teasing way but it’s only to comment on it without it coming across as harsh. Girls aren’t exactly mean towards me and some do defend me when someone else makes a comment but I know it’s something they’ve talked ab behind my back and I seriously hate being that one person. I feel very different and just excluded from everyone. I hope I’ll be able to love my height just as you do now and I’ve been trying to work towards it but it’s hard

Yes I understand. Know the guys that tease you think your height is cute. The girls that do it are jelous. You will realize that later. The best responds to the women is just to tell them their height is good too eventually they will admit they are jelous. The guys just ignore or make a joke back.

You are short, you are not a dwarf:). Remember the perks I stated above! And remember if people are taking their time to talk about you then you must bring some value:)

Maybe this is easier for me to say because I’ve never been short, but people will always have something to say. My advice? It’s ok to worry about it for an hour or two but then you gotta move on. I promise you that people at your school have more important things to worry about then whether or not you’re wearing things that make you look taller. Your brain will blow these things out of proportion but in the long run you’ll end up looking back and scoffing at how much of a big deal this was to you.

1. If you’re under 18 as it says, you’ve probably still got some growing to do.
2. A lot of women feel the same with it being the only reason they wear high heels.
3. Most guys prefer being the taller one in the couple.

Hey girl! Just stop using them and be yourself. I found that when you try and change something that you can't control that's when kids in school will really start saying something about your hight. Just be chill with who you are and everyone else will.

I know that’s apart of life, I’m fully aware but when I can’t go on with my day because I hear comments or just feel excluded then obviously I’m going to want to do something about it. When girls are insecure when it comes to acne a lot of them are going to cover that up with makeup and I’m finding a way to get over my insecurity.

Your still young but what you have not discovered yet is that men love petite women so you may have to suffer a bit now, when older, you will have the upper hand with men over those that teased you. And if it was the guys that teased you then it will end up being their loss.

Realize that most guys like shorter women and it’s actually a plus for girls to be short because most guys won’t date a girl taller than them. I would but I’m short and I have to take what I can get lol.

Just own it. I have a friend who is 5'4 (162.5 cm) and he has so much confidence that girls 5'10 (178 cm) and taller will date him. Also, I'm 6'2 (188 cm) and dated a girl 4'10 (148 cm). A lot of guys do not care.

Obviously I know the problems surrounding men but I’m not a man and I get comments every single day bc of my height and I seriously don’t know what to do about it and it has a great impact on my mental health.

I think in this particular case, the teasing is simply for conversation. I'm not saying it's the best way to go about it, but visual traits are common to use. If you had dyed hair or a lot of piercings or wore unusual clothes I'm sure they'd use those too.

It really depends where you are and the standards in that country. I’m fully aware that being short isn’t something a lot of people hate but I think there’s a difference between short and REALLY short and I’m certain I’m the second one.
