My guy friends new girlfriend hates me. My friend group is me, another girl, and three guys. One of them, I'll name him Josh, has a new girlfriend and for his birthday he had a pool party. I wanted to meet his girlfriend and be her friend too. She was very cold when he introduced us. She even bumped me after he left the ice chest I guess because I was standing next to him to get one too. I said excuse me and her response was, "yea, watch out." Without even looking at me. Her and her friend I noticed kept looking at me in a mean way. It reminded me of bullies i used to deal with. Should I ignore it? Or should I talk to Josh because I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm going to lose his friendship because of this..

Hey, so I saw him today and told him what happened. He said he noticed the way she was acting and already spoke to her about it. She told him that she doesn't trust me and she's not okay with us texting or hanging out alone. Also I mentioned her texting me from his phone and he said he gave her the password to his phone. I think I'm going to just step back let him enjoy being with her because I can tell he really likes her and I don't want to be the reason they break up. Thanks every1

If you decide to be honest with your friend, be prepared for him feeling like he has to pick sides. The reality is that he should know what kind of person she is. Especially considering she's super likely to be abusive if she's doing that kind of stuff to you. You might be saving him from a series of really bad experiences.

People project their own garbage onto others. She probably would only have a guy friend if she was trying to get with him, so she assumes that is the way you are.
