you know how people kind of put on an act in the beginning of the relationship and maybe let things sled at first that they aren't fond of, then eventually it wears off and you're like well damn, this isn't the person I first met. I guess you can't really ask their ex unless it's someone you know or is in your friend circle, then you can probably ask a friend of a friend to see how that situation ended. Opinions?

Certainly, here's the corrected text:
I couldn't agree more. Instead of dating for a couple of months or years, it's best to ask their childhood friends, classmates, or neighbors. People tend to be genuine around these individuals, with no reason to pretend. They can freely be themselves. However, when it comes to finding a life partner, we often know deep down who we truly are. It's easier to pretend for a few years or months than for decades with a friend, where there's no need to pretend. So, if you genuinely want to understand another person, it's highly recommended to inquire with their childhood friends, classmates, or neighbors.
