Am I wrong to me mad with my husband for talking to his ex girlfriend daughter?

We been married for almost 12 years and there was a hard patch that we hit when I discovered he was dating this girl behind my back for almost 5 years…he call it his work girlfriend. She had another man but she knew I was married anyway but didn’t care. I approached the daughter and asked her nicely to please leave my husband alone. I don’t like this because she could be talking to my husband for her mom or this could lead to more problems. I still really haven’t gotten over the cheating situation and this really open up old wounds. The daughter told me”he really loved my mom and he really made her light up. I never seen someone love my mom the way he did”

Man that's so messed up! I can totally understand why you'd be mad about that. I mean, after all he put you through cheating with the mom for so long, of course talking to the daughter too would bring all that back up. You have every right to be upset. I don't blame you for not wanting him talking to her, who knows what they could be saying or if it could lead to more problems. It's not really respecting your feelings after what happened. If I was you I'd tell him straight how it makes you feel and that he needs to stop talking to her to fix things with you. You deserve to feel secure in your relationship after all that stuff with the mom before. Don't let him make excuses, put your foot down on this one!

Why would you stay if he cheated for 5 years? That’s more than just a one night fling, he was emotionally invested in this other woman. I don’t know how you can forgive that and carry on, and it sounds like you haven’t gotten over it.

No I haven’t and I found out about it through one of his coworkers where he had just started working. He says that was his work girlfriend and they really wasn’t dating. We hit a major rough patch and I still haven’t gotten over it.

You need to decide the pros and cons of staying vs leaving. Stay in a miserable marriage where you were cheated on for 5 years, or leave and mourn the relationship but no longer be with a man who disrespected you in such a way.

Why stay with him. Also why confront the girl when your husband is the cheating AH. It's him you should be confronting. I say time for divorce.
