I dumped my ex girlfriend years ago. I realised I never really loved her. I am now with my current girlfriend and love her very much, much more than I ever liked my ex.
But for some reason, I feel bad when I hear others compliment my ex girlfriend (we are all in the same circle of friends and acquaintances.) Everyone, even strangers, always says how beautiful physically my ex is and she gets compliments wherever she goes, and it really pisses me off to hear it. My new girlfriend barely ever gets these types of compliments from people and she's in the same room with all of us.
People will go on and on about how good looking and nice my ex is, and won't even say a word about my current girlfriend. Why does this annoy me so much? Should I tell them to keep it quiet?
