I been with my boyfriend for a while but he can be really insensitive sometimes. Recently he made a remark like "Your body is nice... but it’ll be better if you gained weight.” A while ago and again recently made a joke “I can’t slap it cause it too small.” These comments hurt me since I'm already insecure as it is and I know he loves big butts, he's told me himself. Am I overreacting/being too sensitive or do I have a right to feel this way?
It sounds like he's making an attempt being funny, but body jokes generally are not very welcome in most relationships. My wife and I will celebrate 20 years of marriage, this spring, and I might joke about her behind, but rest assured, she knows that I find her attractive and has no reasons to worry.
