My boyfriend made insensitive comments about ra*pe victims and I hate him for that?

he knows that i have had some pretty traumatic stories. I have told him about a man who touched me s*exually and I couldn’t fight because i froze from fear. Now i could be reaching but we watched a tv show together. In the show the girl gets r@ped, and she doesn’t fight & she leaves looking okay which is a pretty common & a usual thing. My boyfriend starts calling her a wh*ore and he says since she didn’t fight & she just froze she was asking for it & she is cheating on her husband. Now I don't know if that hit close to home but i found it pretty ignorant & i got mad at him especially because he knows that i have been in a similar situation & I didn’t fight either, not because i wanted it but because i was scared i went blank. He wouldn’t understand that we fought over this for 2 hrs until i stopped talking to him. He then said i am acting ridiculous & i make no sense. I told him you are ignorant & f*uck off. I don't know if i am over thinking this but he is giving victim blaming energy & i hate him for that.

Yeah, no, that was 100% him victim blaming there. I’m sure you brought up that you went through a similar experience in that fight and how insensitive it was for him to say that, but also knowingly watching a rape scene and calling her a whore after? That says just as much about his character even without your personal history adding into it. I would assume ignorance before malice, but if you plan to continue the relationship you should probably let him know why that hurt and why it’s so personal to you and how he needs to respect that in order for you to continue to keep him in your life.
