My girlfriend could break up with me, how should I go about this?

If my girlfriend's mother doesn't accept us or me, our relationship would be difficult and she would break up with me. My girlfriend (F20) and I (M19) have been going out for 7 months. She lives with her mom. She wants me to pretend to be best friends instead of lovers to get along with my girlfriend's mother. Should I go along with it?

You need to tell her that lying to her mother will most likely not gain her mother’s trust. Her mother is a grown woman and is NOT stupid about bringing a guy around her entails.
