I feel so very sad. How do you deal with a mistake your partner made?

My boyfriend took on another shift by accident for the weekend so he's not able to come up to see me which sucks. He apologized profusely about it but I have to admit I was pissed off at first about it but now I'm just sad.

I hate this long distance crap. I just want to be able to have the money to close the distance.

My dude pisses me off at least once every two weeks but we usually work it out same day or the next. Did your dude legit do it by accident? I had an ex who did that on purpose cause he didn't want to stick to our plans. I was dating that guy for 2 years and we broke up after. It was really just the final straw. I’m sure y'all will get through it since I doubt y'all have as many problems

Yes it was an honest mistake. We worked it out and I'm going down to see him this time and he'll see me in a few weeks.

Yes but sometimes it feels like we're unlucky despite only being 2 hours away because of our busy schedules especially his schedule more than mines. He works 2 jobs and sometimes it's on weekends so I rarely get to see him now which sucks.

I feel it is. But it's just not easy but no relationship is. This is just a harder relationship because it's long distance but there's many couples out there that live further away that have made it work. I don't see why we can't make it work when we're only two hours away. And I'm about to close the distance very soon.

I wouldn't even consider two hours a long distance relationship. You just have a relationship where both of you have busy lives. There's people living in different countries those are the real long distance ones. Two hours away is not bad at all you can easily go see him and vice versa. The way you wrote your question made me think that if you did not see him this weekend you wouldn't know when you're going to see each other next. Just chill keep in touch with him and if you don't see him this weekend you'll see him in a few days or next weekend. You're fine.

Aww thank you! 🤗 We settled it. I am going to come down there on Friday since we're both off the day of Good Friday and then he goes into work that Friday night and l'll just hang out in his room until he gets off work and spend Saturday with him until he has to work that night.
