If someone you know is very unhappy in her 20 years of marriage and meets someone purely by accident and is attracted to him, should she go for it?

Her husband is a slob and expects her to come home from work everyday and clean up after him which has built up animosity towards him. He yells at her and they argue a lot. They haven't had sex in a very long time. She is so unhappy.
When I was moving into my new apartment she saw him for the first time as he lives in the apartment right next to mine.
I haven't seen her smile in such a long time, but she was smiling while telling me about the good looking guy next door to me.

A couple of people that live in my apartment building know the guy so I asked about him for her. They both said he's a really nice guy and he's lived her a long time.

Since we only have one life, and this is not a dress rehearsal, should she get to know my neighbor and see what happens with them?

Sounds like she needs to make some life choices. Marriage is duty, not about fun and warm feeling. If their personal relationship has failed, she can either end it and go her own way or continue with it.
It seems wrong just to say she's not happy and start a relationship with someone else without breaking the current relationship, however disfunctional it may be.

Marriage is work, if they can’t work it out then maybe it’s time to divorce if they haven’t tried to fix the marriage and then she can continue with the next chapter in her life

My wife cheated on me and she said that I said if we ever want to have sex with someone else we will break up first well that didn't happen no matter the way infidelity is a choice not a excuse

I’m not encouraging her to cheat, but if she and this guy make friends and that friendship turns into something…well, then she should divorce her husband and see where it goes with this guy. But make sure this guy’s a good guy, that he likes her back and that they’re compatible before she goes and does anything radical.
