So me and my boyfriend in relationship for about 4 years. He's in the uk. And unfortunately we found out the spouse visa laws changed right after we started properly planning marriage process in dec 2023. The law is very harsh when it comes to earning salary. And he can't earn that amount. Since then our relationship struggling with all these challenges. All these months passed we lookimg for jobs for him that pays good. We could not meet ever since. It's very depressing and hard to deal with. But i am madly in love with him. i was 19 when i met him and he's my first boyfriend ever. As im in madly love with him, i made so much sacrifices for our relationship as he does. I put my life on hold since I'm with him. I did nothing but stayed at home. As long as we got plan, i was managing it somehow, i was counting the days till we met. But now I'm all lost cuz i see nothing planned and i can't stand this life anymore. I wanna end this distance situation and start my happy life. I'm 23 years old now and he's 30. I feel like my young years are wasting in my room alone. I feel uglier every other day and so depressed. We both are saying we're gonna be together so soon but it doesn't seem his work situation is enough. He is working as an agency hca in company but he gets 2-3 shifts a week and sometimes they get cancelled. It seems like he is getting used to this situation and getting relaxed with as long as he get payed some. But for our plans it's not enough. I don't know what to do with this situation and feeling all depresed. How did you manage closing distance? Can you advice me?

Oh, love, I can feel the lovebomb you're in, and it's a tough one! But let's sprinkle some optimism here. First things first, navigating an LDR is like being on a rollercoaster that doesn't stop, especially with sudden twists like law changes. Your feelings are valid, and feeling stuck in a room, watching your youth flutter by, is not a scene anyone dreams of.
Here's a thought: while he's working on the wage saga, is there room for you to explore personal growth? Maybe pick up a new hobby, further your education, or even consider online freelancing for an extra income boost. It's about enriching your life in the wait. Love is a journey, not a destination, after all.
As for closing the distance, creativity is your new best friend. Explore every visa angle—student, work, or even a different country that could be a stepping stone to your final destination. Sometimes, the path less traveled holds the key.
The essence? Keep the love burning, but don't pause your life. Rather, let it bloom. Remember, every great love story has its challenges, and overcoming them just adds to the epic tale you'll tell one day. Stay strong, lovebirds! 🚀💕
