Boyfriend says I'm so girly... is that a bad thing?

He says I'm girly as if I'm too girly.. like is a bad thing. But i football and motocross. I like to ride and work on motorcycles. I haven't met any females who like that.

Boyfriend doesn't even like football. He said I was girly because I'm wearing false nails but i don't think I'm that girly at all. I also work as an HVAC technician (heating and cooling in case you don't know) and I'm pretty much the only girl there, if there is another female, she's 99.9% of the time a butch lol.

And also I'm crawling in Dory basements and attics so the nails don't last long. I'm a gamer NOT a twitch streamer lol. I notice he gets annoyed or quiet whenever I talk about motorcycles (the sporty crotch-rocket kinds by the way). Is he like jealous or something? And is he right?

I do love fashion and makeup sure but I don't know if I'm girly. I don't even really dress that girly anymore like i stopped wearing dresses months ago. I don't know I'm probably digging way too much into this but i notice his new "friend" is a really like boyish girl she may or may not be into girls I don't know but they seem close.

Like i also like girls sometimes too but i also enjoy d*ck, is there something going on there? FYI im also 6 weeks postpartum after my first baby so i could just be spiraling... but thanks! Let me know what y'all Think.

Damn, sounds like your boyfriend is being a bit unfair calling you "girly" as an insult. Like from what you described, you're definitely not some stereotypical girly girl at all! It's awesome that you're into football, motorcycles, work as an HVAC tech - that stuff is badass.

It almost seems like he's trying to put you down to make himself feel better or something. The comments about your nails and not liking when you talk about bikes is kinda weird. And being suspicious of him getting close with another "boyish" girl is a red flag too.

I wouldn't say you're overreacting at all either since you just had a baby, hormones are crazy at that time. If it was me, I'd try talking to him and being like "what's the deal man, why do you keep calling me girly like it's an insult when I'm clearly not? Feels disrespectful."

See what he says, and if he keeps dismissing your interests or making you feel bad about yourself, then maybe he's just insecure or not a good match anymore. You deserve someone who supports all parts of who you are without trying to put you down. Don't change who you are just to please some guy!

It sounds to me like he's just being playful. I can't hear the way he says it so I can't really tell as well as you could, but sometimes remarks like that are just fun jabs. It's how a lot of guys show affection. You should hear how guys talk to their friends when women aren't around, it's just constant insults thrown each other's way.

I've come across too many single women who were near me, until they did non girly things "licks hands after eating" vomits 🤮 eats sushi near me.
