Due to the world we live in I could probably see his side. But I would never plan a child with someone like that. That comment would close up shop and end the relationship.
He's being cautious and in today's world you can't fault him for being cautious. Men can't do anything about it if they are fucked over. We don't have the privileges you women do
Fair enough if you had just had a one night stand with him but after 4 years his demand is ridiculous. Unless you've given him reason to be suspicious.
Tell him when he goes too ask his mother for a pateenity test then you will alsp take one with her. Also, he's an asshole. And why would you have a baby with a boyfriend? It's some dumb red pill trend.
Also, boyfriend for four years and then says this utterly disrespectful crap to you? He does not love you and I doubt he even lokes you. You've wasted four years with this jerk. Leave.
What's the problem. It a non evasive procedure, just a cotton swab. There are stories of babies being swapped in hospital, wouldn't you want yo know the baby you have is yours?
From Men's POV there are too many women committing Paternity Fraud, it is about time that men had the Basic Protection of knowing that the child that his wife is carrying is his, if you cannot see that, then you have a problem.
He got burned and is scared of the flame. Kudos that he said something and you had a discussion about it! Very mature! This is all about his anxiety not your fidelity.
Guy will be a jersey for his son or daughter asking for a fucken test to prove that the child is HIS a real man knows the truth, and he will feel it!!!
Considering how many guys gets screwed over by this i think he have right to ask. You can feel how you want about it.

I know people who have been in 5 year relationships and still got cheated on. I would also want a paternity test. You don't always know people as well as you think you do.

Imagine getting stuck paying for a child that isn't yours. You should want to give him that peace of mind.

If there wasn't such a preponderance of people cheating these days you wouldn't need these tests. It does make you wonder who the father is or isn't.

I think it's a pretty normal response to feel hurt by that. He's basically saying he doesn't trust you which is very hurtful.
I fully support paternity tests being mandatory. It's guaranteed that the child is yours, he however has no such guarantee.
You are not justified in being upset. He has every right to guarantee he is the father.
You are a victim of the times. Unless you are living together, I would want it.

I'd say it's an indication that he may not be ready to marry you. If he trusts you that little, it's not a good sign for a serious commitment.

Absolutely. If you’ve done nothing to give him concern, he might be projecting. Is he asking for a prenup?
If you know yourself too well that you've never cheated then you shouldn't be upset and be happy to prove it. Unless you're hiding something.
He doesn't want to marry you hun. 4 years? He doesn't like u
Well we're both in our last year of college, so obviously can't marry right now
He doesn't WANT to marry you. If he did he would have. It's been 4yrs
He's right, and it should be mandatory for every child. You know where your kid is from, he can't be sure.
So it bothers you that he wants to be sure?
