One year anniversary, big deal or just another day?

so my boyfriend and I coming up one 1 year together. He seams like its something that he's not going to make a big deal out of. I just don't know if it is something that people normally make a deal out of or if its just another day. What do you all think is it a big deal or not? what have you done on your 1 year?

It's a big deal to a lot of people, but not everybody feels that way. I also think it's more common for girls to make a big deal out of it than guys, so it wouldn't be that abnormal for him to not make a big deal out of it. But everybody's different, you just have to talk to him to find out how he feels about it personally. And if he doesn't think it's a big deal and that disappoints you then tell him how you feel about it. Even if it's not a big deal to him, if he knows it's a big deal to you most guys will make sure it's special for you :)

many people don't see things like that as a big deal. I had a Girlfriend who insisted on 6 month anniversaries - it was pretty dumb in restrospect.

it is a big deal! a year is a long time to be committed to one guy, in my opinion. you both should be excited. one year can lead to another :)

Yea 1 year is usually a big deal, the rest of them after that is just an anniversary.

No don't ask him, you don't wanna know. Just let him take you out or whatever he's gonna do on that day, because he already knows you're expecting him to do something on your anniversary. If he completely ignores it, he's a douche.
