I know that guys have that instinct to take care of everything, but I feel like he's burning himself out.
He works graveyard shifts at a gas station(40 minutes away) and just moved into a new apartment with a roommate that is closer to me(since he used to LIVE in the town that's 40 minutes away.)
I know that things will get better once he is settled down, but I don't think he realizes what kind of stress he puts on his body and his mind. He counts out the hours of sleep he gets and it's always less than 5, sometimes 3. And he doesn't eat for HOURS on end, sometimes even the whole day. He'll say, "I'm so tired." "I'm starving." "I feel like crap." but when I tell him that these are simple fixes, he doesn't follow my advice. I don't DEMAND it either, I say very sweetly, "Oh...baby, I'm sorry. Why don't you lay down/eat something/take some medicine?" or "Do you want me to get you something to make you feel better?"
I know it's not my responsibility to take care of his health, only he can do that, but how do I get him to realize that even if I shouldn't be worried, I am.
I mean, come on, how would you react if someone you loved kept saying, "I feel dizzy/I've had a headache all day/ or I feel a sharp pain in (insert body part here)"?
