Everything my boyfriend does is slow?

I've been with him for 2 years and while everything is great, there's just one thing I can't stand about him. Every single thing he does is so very slow. He'll go to the store to pick up eggs and come back an hour later cause he was distracted by something at the store. He won't buy anything else but he'll spend an hour walking up and down the store.

Or if we're making vacation plans, he can't come up with a decision. We won't book anything until the last minute cause he procrastinates so much.

and those are just small examples. He's slow to take action on the bigger things in life as well. Lately this has been bothering me so much. This is just who he is and I don't want him to change. But I also can't put up with it anymore.

Should i I just break up with him? Or try to put up with it?

Reading this I feel you wrote about my life lol, my boyfriend is also super slow as well and I really don't understand what takes so long. I will admit that I myself take a long time to do stuff but it's nothing compared to him. Just getting showers and stuff I'm done with shower, hair and makeup in 30-45 mins and he'll still be getting ready and will keep asking me if I have to do anything else and I'm like nope just waiting on you. To stay or not I can't really help there. Although he takes forever and is always late I still love him and just try to help move him along as much as I can, sorta feel like his mother most days but I can see positive changes in him. He had gone for a long time driving without a license, no insurance or anything and now he's got his license back, has insurance and is legal to drive now. I make sure to keep track of important things like his meds, keys, phone so when he's looking all over for them I know where they are for him. I'm not sure how your boyfriend is or whatnot but if taking care of him the way I do for my boyfriend is something that may work for you guys and you don't mind to do it may be worth it to stay. I tell my friends all I do for him and they think I'm crazy but I love him and want to help him how I can and if taking care of him and sorta being a mother to him is what I have to do than I'll do it because I can't imagine my life without him.

Has your partner ever been tested for ADHD? Sounds a lot like it, being easily distracted and taking long for simple things and procrastinating. Read about adult ADHD and see if the criteria fits. If so and your partner hadn't been diagnosed until now, this can be life changing for the both of you.

I have the same exact problem with my girlfriend. Not only does she take a long time to do anything she doesn't really have any drive in life at all. When I try and talk to her about either issue it just ends a fight and nothing changes. Any advice?

It sounds like he has ADD and/or gets easily distracted. Maybe try to get him to focus or get him to use a To Do list and use that as a guide... just a thought
