Can you give me some examples of nicknames that guys would like.
What is an offensive nickname for a guy? Do guys even like nicknames?
Can you give me some examples of nicknames that guys would like.
I don't like nicknames whatsoever when it comes from a girl trying to be cute. I have nicknames from sports, but I wouldn't want my girl to call me any kind of nickname. One of my friends gave her boyfriend the nickname "snuggles". I asked her why in the world would she give her man a nickname in the first place and she said because it's cute and I asked, okay and why the hell would you call him snuggles? She told me that she was trying to think up a nickname for him and so she looked around the room and saw two distinct things. one a box of popcorn, and the second thing. Fabric softner that is called "snuggles". So she was weighing her options between calling him popcorn or snuggles, and went with snuggles. Dorky is a bad nickname, it has a big negative connotation, and so is nice or sweet. I can't really think of a nickname that I would like when it comes to being "cute". Guys, for the most part... Don't like being called something cute. Maybe if you were to call a guy sexy or handsome he might like it. Either a nickname that has to do with his name, his attributes, or looks. When it comes to the attributes and looks part you would rather stick with something more masculine than feminine.
First of all, horrible nicknames. Lol
Anyway, it's a bit of an overstatement if you say all guy hate having a nickname. My girlfriend calls me by a nickname all the time and I quite enjoy it :)
You have to pick something the guy doesn't mid, however. If I was consistently called doofu by my girlfriend everyday, I'd be pretty annoyed.
You can't ask us to give you an example of a nickname that EVERYguy likes either... Everyone is unique. You have to pick one good quality about the person and turn that into a nickname. You don't have to be so obsessed about having a nickname for guys though... Nicknames should be something that comes naturally, through a casual conversation.

You can call him nice, sweet or dorky as long as you're having a lot of sex, and you initiate a fair bit of it.
If you're not doing that, calling him names that make him sound like a sweet puppy or worse may not make him feel happy.
There's this one girl I know, she calls me grandpa. I'm not even biologically old enough to be her father, much less grandpa! I'm older, but not that much older.
As for a significant other, I just prefer my first name or "my love".
What's up with girls and the whole daddy/grandpa fantasy/weirdness/business? I'm assuming you aren't that much older than her?
lol :) grandpa that is funny one. If I was to call a guy that it wouldn't be because I thought he was old, but because I'd be teasing him that he acted old - like did something cute like pulling his pants up too high.
I've always wondered if the girls I know honestly think of their daddies, or if they just think it is "cute". Just weird!
guys don't like emasculating nicknames. what a surprise lol.
Lol, too true. Cute nicknames are for girls. :)
