Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 3 months, and I've been noticing more lately that he responds to some things I say, shortly and abruptly. I don't think anything I say is that wild, that it should cause this type of reaction and sometimes it hurts my feelings. If I ask about his friends, he will talk defensively and try to end the conversation, I have observed this in areas that either stress him out or that he knows I don't approve of (his loser stoner friends). I care for him a lot and I love him and he loves me, but I don't think that just because he is stressed out about something in his life he shouldn't take it out on me with his tone of voice and harsh responses.
How do I handle my boyfriend being short and snippy to me?
