Why do guys dedicate love songs?

One of my male friends sent me a song that was about "making love" basically. And he thought I should listen to it, he isn't the kind of person that hears a good song and want to share it, he sends me a song when he wants to tell me something, so guys why do you do this too? in that case why do you do that? is it easier to send songs to explain how you feel?

it's certainly possible he's sending you a hint, but

you have to remember 90% of all songs are love songs and most of the rest are about hate break up and self loathing...if I worried that people would read hidden meanings in the lyrics of every song I wanted a friend to hear...then I'd have to stop sharing music altogether.

true, well to be honest this was a song in his native language and I think he didn't think I would find out what it was really about so ofcourse I searched for the translated version on google and it was about being close to each other like wet clothes on a naked body, corny stuff like that haha.

Depends on the person. I like to use songs to share my feelings when I just can't find the right way to explain them. But sometimes it is easier to just tell them how you feel.

My boyfriend used poems and songs all the time before we made it official. He said those songs reminded him of me :) It's sweet.

Really depends on the person, about a month back I sent a Drake song to my ex(who was still my current) just because I liked it, but it's only after I realized what it was about, it was him breaking up with a girl, and she thought I was using him to transport my emotions:D
