Should I go bald (shave my head) for myself and my boyfriend?

I jokingly asked my boyfriend (of 5 years) if he would love me without hair. He said yes (of course), but explained he thought women with bald heads were 'hot.' I didn't really believe him since I feel like I knew everything about him. He went on to say he not only would still love me without hair, but it would be a turn on and had just never mentioned it because he figured it was odd to feel this way. He didn't want me to think he was strange.

Anyways, I have always wondered what it would be like without hair. I am jealous of girls with the confidence to do this (ie. Natalie Portman etc). His comment got me thinking, what is stopping me then? Obviously it is still a big deal cutting off 20" of hair, but am I out of my mind for wanting to do this for me and for him?

I am interested in hearing from:

-other men if they feel like my boyfriend

AND

-other women if they have ever felt like me, wanting the experience of a smooth head with no hair. Maybe you have experienced it yourself or just had many reasons for not experiencing it.

Your boyfriend is most probably an Acomophile. I'd say, yes go for it. It will turn on your boyfriend and perhaps give a new dimension to your sex life. And, apart from that, you might get a sort of a new confidence and a change (for better) in your personality. Since of all the comments I have heard from girls who went bald by choice, and the amount of turn on it is for Acomophiles, I'd say it is worth a try. If it flops, then there isn't much to worry either since your hair will grow back pretty soon and also you can try out different hairstyles, which you wouldn't have tried before. All the best.

i don't think you should go bald just for your boyfriend to find you more attractive. just my opinion though. if you think it will raise your self confidence then maybe you could give it a shot, but it will take a really long time to come back.

I wouldn't want my girlfriend changing her entire look just for me, that's incredibly selfish and I would only want her to do it if she truly wanted it.

Get a pixie cut! link Bald is a really big step, and he might feel like he made you do it, rather than that you really wanted to. See how you feel with super-short hair before you try going totally bald, because if you happen to regret it, you'll have to go through the really short stage before it will grow out again. You're not out of your mind, but I think you shouldn't just jump straight to bald. If you try super-short and you like the feeling, and you find that your bone structure looks good without all the hair you had before, then you can try bald. Good idea? :)

Don't do it. 20" of hair? You're going to cut off all that simply because he likes bald women? If I had a boyfriend who thought purple hair was sexy, I wouldn't dye it for him. Most women do not look good bald IMO.

I like that you were not only open to the idea but wanted to do it. And I don’t think you were out of your mind for wanting to. I feel like as long as a woman is attractive and has a pretty face, being smooth bald can actually enhance her prettiness. I think this is an older post, did you go through with it? If so, how did you feel about it? And did you end up keeping the look? From your description it doesn’t sound like he was trying to manipulate you into doing it, so as long as you were both ok with it and wanted it, it sounds like a fun way to spice things up.

If you are attractive it will hot. Try being bald there are a lot of hot bald girls. If you are real feminine then it will work. One girl on the computer even has her scalp tattooed with a phoenix bird where her hair was. You can let your hair grow back out to cover the tattoo, if you want. Do it.
