there's this guy at my college. The first time I seen him I was putting my back pack on he was behind me, I turned around and he did a friendly smile. I found him attractive immediately. I started seeing him in the same hallway recently. The next time I seen him I was sitting down doing homework, he was walking out the hallway seen me and locked eyes with me the whole time, then he walked passed me and kept staring. He turned the corner looked back and stared more. This has happened 4 times so far. I've lightly smiled at him and he's done the same. One day I felt ballsy and got onto the elevator with him, there was other people. I thought I could get the courage to say hello but I couldnt. I was so nervous. He started breathing heavily. The next day he got onto the elevator and started talking to random other girls like it was no problem. I just want to know if he's interested/shy or not interested. I don't want to look like a fool approach him, and he rejects me. Its just weird how he can talk to other people so easily but not me.

He's probably thinking the same thing you are. He wants to say something, but he doesn't want to be rejected. The next time you see him say "hi, what's your name?" Ask him where he's headed. What classes he takes. If he's interested he'll talk to you, no matter what you talk about. It doesn't have to be super interesting.

Say "Hi, how are you?" Whats the worst that could happen. Then at least you can go by signals he's into you and may give the courage to ask you out. By the way he sounds interested, just shy.

You won't look like a fool approaching him. Just make casual conversation with him. I can naturally talk to anyone, but when it comes to my crush I can barely get words out in front of him. This may be his problem with you. Good luck! Keep us updated :)

I know what you mean. I had the same issues with my crush, but I just told myself to suck it up and do it. And I'll tell you this, the more I approached him, the easier it was.
