Why would God give my brother a special talent that would get him an automatic career path and not me?

So almost 7 years ago now, my little brother started going to music school for opera singing, right after high school. But when I had gotten out of high school, I didn’t have a career path because unlike him, I didn’t have a natural talent to get me an automatic career path. So I chose my college major randomly and it turned out to be something that was not my thing. So in my 20s, I wasn’t functioning like an adult, because I was so busy being obsessively stuck on the fact that I messed up on my career choice, causing me to be always sitting around at home not doing anything (because I was obsessively “stuck”). But that didn’t happen to my brother because choosing a career path was so “automatic” for him because he has a special talent for “opera” singing, so naturally he chose to go to college for that and do that for a living. And now he is becoming successful in his career, and I don’t have a professional career. And this is all because he has a “magic” talent that automatically got him a career path, and I don’t 🙁. And one time after he did some singing at a church, the church’s priest was chitchatting with my parents afterwards about how talented he is and said something about it being “a gift from God”. So, why do you think God gave him a special talent and not me, leading to him having a professional career when I don’t? 🙁 I feel like a loser compared to him.😞 I feel like God loves him more than He loves me! 😢

By the way, I don’t want any answers from atheists! 👿 I have nothing against atheists, it’s just that I don’t want to see any answers from any of them. I want this question to be answered by Christians ✝️ only, thank you!

Have you considered that you have been limiting yourself thus never finding your talent. People are capable of marvelous things but it requires putting yourself out there to discover what you are great at. Think about all the wasted talent simply because they were never exposed to their gift.

If I was you, I wouldn't be expecting easy paths in life, nor do I think you should hold a grudge for not having one, is very unhealty overall.

If you’re actually religious then you’d know better than to blame god for your shortcomings. Ok so you weren’t born a musician, big deal. There’s so many other hobbies and interests you’d probably do better in and you just haven’t discovered what you can be “specially talented” in.

He actually gave you a better talent. But where your brother used his little talent to better himself. You squandered yours by just being jealous and petty instead.

It's why God hates people who are jealous. They not only waste their own lives, but make those of others, much harder than they need be.

Seek forgiveness for yourself and apologise to your brother.

I ALREADY apologized to him, AND he even said “it’s ok I’m not mad at you 🤷”. And actually it’s interesting that somebody is giving me this response on here now, because guess what? Just two nights ago I was actually talking (nicely) with him and his girlfriend (my soon-to-be sister, who is ALSO an opera singer) about this, and they actually told me, “Because you’re doing well with your current job, YOU have a talent for ‘helping people’, and that’s better than our talent! 👍” Now THAT was something I didn’t expect to hear from them! 😌

Well then what’s YOUR “real world” answer to that question?

Almost all people have a natural ability to do something. In your brother's case it was singing. You just haven't founds yours yet but when you do, you'll be a great as your brother while doing it. Sometimes it just takes time to discover it. In my case, I was a damn good drummer, but I found out that I am a even better design engineer.

Now that's a whole different story! The most successful relationships I know of, the couple found each other by accident, not planning or searching. But it does take time, unfortunately. It took two previous divorces before I my current wife and I stumbled across each other in an AOL chatroom 29 years ago.

Focus on what you naturally are good at and that comes the easiest for you. That's your role in life.
