I moved to the north of Mexico. The barbacoa there is delicious.
wait, you don't like tamales? there is a lot of variety of them, every state has their own style, and the flavour chanages from place to place. I don't like the tamales from CDMX, but I really like the ones from Tabasco.
my parents are from Tabasco haha and nope, not my thing... too greasy. I only like the dry sweet one with pinapple, so damn yummy.
I want chocolate tamales.

Enchiladas, chiles rellenos, and fajitas <3 are my fav, mostly enchiladas.
I've only tried homemade mole once, it was the bomb.
My mom was raised on the Mexican coast and we have had enchiladas and fajitas many times. And her homemade flour tortillas are amazing.
Ya never gonna find those anywhere apart from Mexico... and those Mexican restaurants have a pseudomexican cuisine in fact... they make it more Westernized...
well... they might not have the identical Mexican flavor but they have to be at least similar haha
they say it's pretty easy to find it in the USA, but it's understandable because they're our neighbors

We have some foods kinda similar to Pancita in Portugal, with that kind of ingredients... i hate them... very popular in the north.
Have not eaten nothing of those... need to go to méxico.

I kind of like Québécois food. French influence means flavour. There's not a whole pile that's strictly Canadian.

i ain't to sure about the "don't really die part" to be honest I almost got killed before and it didn't bother me but that don't mean I go looking for trouble. But you know I did hear that Mexico got a new beach tourist police brigade. But that article didn't mention if they play volleyball or not. . .
@DooMguy Narcos usually don't mess with tourism (has happened, I won't deny it) because they pay their bills. Tourists get high and stoned, narcos need them alive and with a good experience so they can keep coming. Mexico has lots of problems in every state, but some are safer than others. Cancun and Merida are pretty nice.
The police here don't have the balls they should, but you won't get killed if you don't mess with people. Narcos usually kill the families of the people that had something to do with them. They do kill other people too, but they don't go around killing just for fun, they have reasons to do it.
You really do know a lot about the narcos. . . . maybe you know somone who's ex narco?
I suppose it does make sense. i got some gangs in my area but round here most of it's organised they sell their drugs and stuff but they ain't violent. So. . . you can go up to a narco holding a AK-47 and just take a picture with them?
Also the people they kill. . . is it the autodefensas? Or say someone was just like walking and then they accidentally bumped into the narco and the narco was all like "you're dead cabrón, vamos vamos !" *gunshots* *screaming*

They kill the people because they stop selling their drugs, or their more successful than others, because they mess with someone's bitch, many things, but they usually don't kill people just like that.
I know about narcos because everyone who's mexican knows a bit about them. Latin americans know how stuff works.
