I honestly think racism has nothing to do with your own skin color, actually, it has to do with which nation you come from. At least where I live, racist people don't have any problems with central-Africa or afro-american or black French (meaning we hate all French people :D), while they show hate against white Romenians, whatever color Gipsies, Arabs and (much lesser) Indians.
Even I had felt discrimated for being an Italian when I was in Prague and London, whenever I entered a store and started talking in Italian with my friends, customers started looking at me, thinking that at some point I would have tried stealing something. IN EVERY SINGLE STORE.
Let me give a point by point refutation of what that guy says
1. If you only have more children to recieve more benefits than the parent is being selfish. The parents in 19 kids and counting are able to support their children with their income.
2. Muslims get criticized for polygamy, but white Mormons with sister wives get their children taken away in things like the Shortcreek Raid. Australia's taking away of aboriginal children was called genocide. Taking children away from fundementalist mormons apparently not.
3. Love at first sight does not entail arranged marriage.
White privilege, to me, is a real thing. People deny it because they've never experienced it, but it does exist, it just doesn't happen to all white people. I have seen it myself. I've been accused of stealing with my white friends because I'm black, but the police didn't bat an eye at my white friend. I didn't even steal anything.
I have had black colleagues/friends experience being followed around stores by security personnel for no particular reason; they dressed a lot better than I do too.
It's not just white privilege but white Christian male privilege. Look at rapist brock Turner. Prime example of this privilege. As a mixed raced individual, I can look past race so easily and I know I have a different perspective of it. Anything looks wise for me anyways isn't awknowledged but I try to look for the persons personality and treat them as such.
It's pretty stupid to be honest with you, and all I know is there was never white privilege with my life, I've always been treated the same as blacks, whites or Mexicans me and my family had to work hard to get to were we are at now, and we're all treated pretty much the same around here. Everyone has the same opportunities for a pretty decent education here, cops treat everyone the same, there isn't no racism or nonsense like that around here.
We don't buy into that crap here.

I know a foreign exchange student from Saudi Arabia, and a lot of people here are extremely cruel, calling him a terrorist. His host and I are apparently the two kindest people to him, and I'm just the kid who runs up the steps of his hosts house on my way to Spanish and tell him to say hi to his mum while he's on the phone with her.

I do think white privilege exists. I know because my dad is white and my mom is Asian. I see two sides of the same coin.
White privilege is bullshit. It's just a way some people use in order to excuse their shitty choices in life.

Yeah, I never understood those arguments it seems like they would realize instantly what they did after stating it but they never seem to get it. I think its because the term racist carries such weight that they assume it would shut down the argument but even that shows the power of minority groups and the lack of power of whites since the immediate accusation of hating a group not their own is considered insulting and taboo meaning they couldn't possibly hold those ideas as true other wise it would be contradictory.
White privilege is simply the accumulated reputation of whites being better than the accumulated reputation of various other races.

Oh and you want to say we whites don't know whether minorities have it bad or not... by the same token, minorities can't know whether whites have a dream life like they think or not.
Also keep in mind... there's about 10 million blacks living in poverty in the USA. About 19 million whites.
Look at Ireland and scotland. Ireland was a warzone for a century coz of the brits. Scotland full of ghettos and slums for centuries. All the jobs go to the English. Irish were being murdered daily for years amd oppressed by the army. Imagine walking down the road to church and your son getting blown away by am army sniper. White privelage bollocks. The elite and the establishment just happen to have a lot of white folk in it but they hate all of us equally.

about 50% of the free black population owned slaves as opposed to 1.4% of whites owned slaves at the peak of slavery and considering the fact that whites only got into the slave trade that was created and maintained by both Africans and the middle east (asia had their own slave trade) that would mean that blacks would have the accumulated reputation of being slavers and slave owners, also whites where the last to get into the slave trade and the first to abolish it, in fact African kings where upset because they lost the european market. Meanwhile slavery continued to exist in africa and the middle east all the way up to the 70s, except for those regions controled by whites, and in one nation even up until the 80s (1970s-80s a hundred years later). As for chicago, consider nearly all the violence is commited by blacks within the black community that really isn't helping your argument.

Gotta agree with this strongly. Where I lived in New York - and even now in Alabama - the closer you got to predominately black areas, the shittier everything got. The buildings are dumps. Everyone drives a "blinged-out" ghetto-mobile, usually an old Lincoln or Honda. The employees at businesses are not shy about disliking whitey, and god forbid you go to a restaurant, your food is almost guaranteed to be tampered with.
You know the differences in those places? Its not race its the quality of life they have, wanna know why they have it? Assholes white people who put their decendants in harsh situation that their grandson are paying, must be cool to judge on the suburbs pal

First and foremost because violence and poverty have actually been increasing in black neighborhoods since the fifties and began to spike around the seventies, in fact their where more imployed blacks in the 40-50 then their where in the sixties seventies and up. All around the time frame of liberalism/feminism. When people stopped holding blacks accountable for their actions thats when things started falling apart. As for being put in a bad situation, blaming something that happened two hundred years ago is, well idiotic. Also it ignores that irish where also slaves, in fact they where treated considerablly worse then blacks (we have plenty of documents proving it) and of course all the prejudice and hate they and italians whent through yet they managed to come out fine. Then of course the fact that more blacks owned slaves then whites (50% of blacks owned slaves vs the 1.5% of whites, averaging 5 slaves each).
@realname Then of course you have the fact that the actual first slave ever owned in america was a white man owned by a black man from angola (he was an indentured servent who felt he had completed his servituted, his soon to be owner and the government disagreed and had him indentured for life ie enslaved). Plus it also ignored the fact that the entire slave trade was created by blacks, in fact when whites banned slavery (unlike everyone else who was perfectly content with it, including blacks), the African kings who made so much off the slave trade where incredibly upset even righting letters to the British king about it. In short everything you said is false, both in who was wronged did the wronging and the consequences of such wrongs. Sorry, the current issues are due to people refuseing to hold the black community accountable for its own actions. @realname There are about 18 million whites living in poverty in the USA, and about 10 million blacks. And yet poor white areas aren't war zones like Chicago or Memphis. Culture or race, blacks are much more violent than whites. That's the facts.
Detroit is hell, period. And Flint is even worse. Flint is run by a bunch of crooks. Color is not the common thread in that city. Voting Democrat, however, is. A one-party monopoly in that town means nobody to hold them accountable for corruption. So they think they can do whatever they want. And then blame it on a governor that had bare minimal to do with it, just to get themselves out of jail time.
Oklahoma has cities with a lot of blacks in it. But Oklahoma is also overwhelmingly a red state, and most there reject socialism. While their existence is hardly problem-free, at least they're not Detroit.

Somalia also has the Boko Haram. Any culture that glorifies the hatred and sexual abuse of women and children, is going to degenerate into barbarism. Yet, they who sympathize with these groups and wish to project these groups' demonic nature onto the western world that once nearly ended it in WWII, are now the "educators" that are targeting America's black youth. So like I said: garbage in, garbage out.
"White privilege" is merely an excuse used by people who don't want to get up off their lazy asses and work for a living. You have it easy on the road to success in this country if you're not white... for example: govt funded and even private sector jobs/universities being forced to meet racial quotas as a result of affirmative action, scholarships just for not being white -even more if you're female, etc.

I just want to say, haven't you people noticed the influx of east Asian, middle eastern, and Indian populations to this country? Are they under privileged and sinking beneath white oppression? I think white privilege was a big problem years ago but there is very little of it left today. In some cases being white is actually a hindrance because a lot of companies and colleges are trying to create more diverse environments and you always have to be very careful about what you say to not be considered a racist bigot

I'm brown but this is not something that bothers me. I've never really felt like I was neglected just cause of my skin tone. I know the difference between racism and jokes, I pay out my white friends all the time.
