I'm a feminist and I didn't understand this a bit.
Men don't get raped? What?
Male vs females. What if I say now that I always want a society that's make AND female as a team? I honestly see more men talking about it.
I have nothing against the biological differences. I do have great issues with how women are underestimated for it.
Regarding the heterophobia thing, I always believed that a real man is a man who can overcome his desires. You're a male yourself do you do know how much mental strength a person requires to do that!
We know it, boys have it hard as well. Both genders do. Feminism is only about the issues that women face due to being said to be something lesser than men. I do not hate masculine men, they can be quite hot. And if a man is not super masculine I have no problem with that either if he's a nice person. Men and women are equal but not identical. I repeat, not identical.

I just did a google search for male sexual assault victims, and there are multiple resources out there for them. So... yes they are taken seriously.
Where and who and how does it match up against the hordes of resources spent elsewhere? Seriously, if you're not just here to bad mouth this man for bringing up the issue or to shit on the people who have experienced this. Show so support, put it out there in case someone actually needs it.
You realize there is ONE shelter that takes male domestic violence victims. The most common answer from people, even police officers, when a man makes a domestic violence claim is, " You let a woman beat you up?" and should he have the audacity to defend himself, HE goes to prison for domestic battery with his name of a registry.
That's ONE shelter in the United States.

Raspberry, I made it absolutely clear that I’m not defending weinstein. But I guess people purposely misinterpret things just because they want to argued with someone who had different views than them.
The reason why a lot of men refuse to endorse “metoo” is because it gives off anti-male vibe, since it subtly makes it a “male vs female issue”.
I was watching some tv show the other day in which a female celebrity (forgot her name) said something along the lines “it’s good that women are staring to speak up, not just women but anybody who has been a victim of sexual harassment.” Notice how she said “anybody” instead of “men”. She refused to admit men face the same issues.

1. If y'all spent even half as much time actually trying to accomplish something by organizing protests, creating campaigns, creating foundations and shelters to donate to for men who have been victims of sexual abuse, etc etc etc, you would have come a lot farther than you are today. The problem I see is that men are only outraged when women are creating campaigns. Yet y'all rarely do anything to get off your asses and actually do something besides whine over the internet.
2. Female victims of sexual abuse rarely get taken seriously too. I've been called a slut and a whore because a man grabbed me without my consent. Women get asked pointless questions such as what they were wearing.

Every day is a mens studies day at school though. There are so many more female historical figures we could focus on and talk about too, but 99% of the time we only read about men and their accomplishments. I agree with most of these. As a guy, sometimes I feel discouraged from speaking out against inequality because a lot of people from both genders tell me to "toughen up". That's exactly where inequalities go unsolved.

Disregarding that, of course there's nothing stopping guys from stepping in with their say, except for all the "derailing" accusations. Disregarding that, there were companion hastags like #HowIWillChange and #HimThough and #IDidThat just so we're not all focusing on women as victims but also men as perpetrator.
Like so many things, on paper it's about equality but most people seem too reluctant to ever let it play out that way.

For one thing, we don't know if women are more often sexually assaulted, there's evidence to suggest it happens just as frequently to men, but ultimately I don't presume to know. But I never took issue with who said they were harassed more. My issue was with the demonization and parsing out responsibility to 'men in general.'

What about the men who’ve been sexually harassed by women, does it not count just because “they are supposed to enjoy it?” There was one incident that was covered on a tv show where they talked about how a woman Kissed a underage male and they just laughed like it was some joke. Reverse the roles and there would be outrage.

This is very true, but before it will ever happen women will have to acknowledge the problem, and I don't see that happening. You would think women would be more empathetic considering what has happened in terms of gender equality over the last century. I think women are just loathe to let go of the advantages their victim status affords them.
