I honestly don't know what generation I am even in anymore it seems to change frequently but I remember being like 6 and getting a Nirvana CD and my mom coming in and smashing it on the floor because there was a song called Rape Me playing lol.
What year were you born?
Why is everyone invoking Nirvana? Nirvana was only a popular group during a specific time period, the time period the author relates to, that’s all. The quote in the middle of this, by Cobain, is completely meaningless, why is it even there? So the notion that Nirvana has some sort of spiritual importance to the time period is laughable. Nirvana has no iconic status.
The overall tone of this is that of little substance. Mostlya lot of giant pictures, mostly leaving the reader wondering why they’re there. Sure nostalgic, if your a kid, or under the age of thirty.
Sorry, but this is just as inconsequential as Santa Claus skipping my house last night.
It just don’t matter.
@Gsm24diecast 1989
Millennial @mike5150
@Girther10 they had about one song anyone knew
@ofdeath- they did? I don’t even know that one...🤣😂😅
@Girther10 if you heard it you would know it. Smells like teen spirit.
I refuse to send the link.
Having been born in '74, I was too young to appreciate the 70's and too young to enjoy the 80's. The 90's were the larger part of my teens and 20's. Later boomers and early Gen-X's got the lion's share of the 70's and 80's respectively.
I am Gen X and proud to be one! Great take... good stuff!
can't relate, I have never met a person who thinks they are different from their peers, that are actually different from their peers.
I consider the word millennial to be an offensive and dirty insult to be honest.
It might be worthwhile officially changing my real birthday date.
Hahaha this was a fun MyTake! ^_^
I love the Gen X generation too- I mean, come on how can you EVER deny Fresh Prince? :P
i can relate to you on so many levels! living in the 70s & 80s sounds so fun and i love the fashion trends!
Like i keep telling everyone, generations dont exist. Dont we use enough arbitrary labels to incorrectly prejudge others by? Why should we give a fuck what generation someone is?
Yeah i can definitely relate but more into the opposite spectrum. I honestly feel more of a kinship with gen Zers then millenials.
Interesting, is it because of the internet culture?
Admittedly in large part yes, twitter has for some reason turned functioning rational adults into crazed lunatics. Meanwhile some of the most interesting conversations I've had around the internet have been with people around your age. To put it simply. The adults act immature, and the teens and young adults are more mature. it's gotten so bad that I've honestly opted to just skip a generation when i start dating, cause if i have to deal with being around an entitled millennial i'm gonna lose it.
That's an interesting take, I wonder what makes z more "mature" than y
Honestly i think a lot of gen zers went the same route i did growing up. Looking at millenials and how a lot of them act, or seeing people doing really dumb shit, see how it ends up and then proceed to do the exact opposite
Like me for example, I saw my nana who smoked when she was 12, died of lung cancer at age 60. Ok no smoking for me. Or my uncle who drank massively and died of liver poisoning, so no excessive drinking
And I've seen people who take crystal meth and... NOPE.
So i do think a lot of your gen, sees a lot of what my gen is doing, seeing how its making them insane and just opt to not do it.
Interesting. I do see what you mean, your generation can be a bit unwise with decision making and future-forward plans
To this day I STILL wonder how i managed to slip through the cracks.
Is that a woman dressed up as Boy George in 2nd picture.
What do you call a man born in 1993 like me then?
You are a milennial, good sir
But I was born in the 90s. What makes me a millennial?
www.google.com/search
Nirvana wasn't really around long for everyone to see. But "Xers value independence" was spot on for me. As long as you don't harm anyone else and do your job, do whatever you want.
Thank you! :) From the bottom of my heart... <3 Thank you!
Speaking for myself, I can say, at least, that my childhood was filled with a lot of fun. Later on, I have attended Nirvana & Madonna concerts too! :D
@Girther10 "Could you be more specific?" Hahah T H X-1138 reference there.
:)
Cheers OP girl out of time! Late 70s to early 80s were good times.
We had best music, moms didn't have to work, we played games together, we never had school shootings, and black and white got along great , very little if any racial problems. My best friend was Black by the way.
Can't forget how in the 80s how pro wrestling changed. WWF went worldwide then to.
Hulk Hogan, Junk Yard Dog, Macho Man and many more
Before the 80s wrestling was in territories. Like the AWA had the Midwest, the WWF had upper east coast, Mid Atlantic wrestling had of course the Mid Atlantic. You get the idea. If the AWA Wanted a wrestler from another territory. They would have to pay the promotion and the wrestler to.
Here is another bit of history. Most belong to NWA and the champion went to each promotion. Kinda like Raw and Smack Down do today. But it was different. The idea was the same.
i was born in 1976 i loved growing up in the 1990's all the movies and wrestling i would watch in the 90's the very first nintendo that came out and atari 2600 in the 80's
Bret the hitman Hart best wrestler of the 90's the 80's was dominated by Hogan and 70's by Andre the giant and the '00s by Steve austin
@Rob19777 my favorite bret hart match is at wresltemania 8 agaisnt roddy piper i also liked the ultimate warrior macho man summerslam 1992 and 1991 are my favorite summerslams
I was born in 62. What besides old does that make me. I'm not a boomer. I think I fell in between somewhere
Maybe the silent generation? I don't know it was more of a wartime classification. It goes greatest generation between 1910 and 1924, then silent gen from 24 until 42. From there I just think it's boomer. Sorry but you might be a b O O m e r
Ok here goes-
Boomers-44-64
Gen x - 65-79
Gen y ( millennial) - 80 -94
Gen z - 95 till now
So that's all, a ends it. No more. Could this mean THEY KNOW the world is about to e. d!!!
END^^^^^^^^^
Well when you reach 62 years old that makes you a senior citizen
Well I still got 5 years to go. And then I won't be a dirty old man anymore!. I'll be a sexy senior citizen. 🤔
Just imagine how many babies you get to take out with your new discount
Babes. Autocorrect sucks

Whys that?
No you are a boomer
And seniors start at 55
Boomers are considered such from 1948 the end of the war when everyone came home until 1968
No one falls in between the generations there is no actual generation gap
My age is not that what it says on here
