Guys, Should I add him on Facebook if we have no mutual friends?

I have been crushing on this guy for a while at my athletics club and talk to him occasionally, I haven't got a clue whether he likes me back. I found him on Facebook a few days ago and was going to add him but realised we had no mutual friends. Would it look creepy if I sent him a friend request? will he wonder how I found him? And finally, will I make it obvious I have a crush on him? Thank you in advance for any help :)

I guess you could keep the very common guise that "women have no interest in guys" going. If I have a crush or interest in someone, I guess I'm just not concerned if they know. It depends on if you want to hide that from him.

Do you consider him, a friend?
If you do, then absolutely, you can add him as a friend, regardless of whether or not you have mutual friends or not.

For those girls having pics of their own face, or having mutual friends -- I used to add. For those who have no pics of their own, I don't even know whether they are girls -- they could be guys or gay or someone who wants to spy me using a fake account, so, used to ignore them.
