Please no hate speech or anything rude, I'm not about that hate life.
Are you "offended" when a white person says the n- word?
Please no hate speech or anything rude, I'm not about that hate life.
I wouldn’t be offended, but my first reaction is a side eye. There are exceptions though like whites people born into poverty amongst blacks or just brought up around blacks in general. Like there’s this kinda vibe particular people who aren’t black give off that lets you know if they’ve used that word most of their life or not. If some regular Joe Schmo approached me saying wassup my nigga, then I’m gonna straight up ignore him. I’m gonna sum it down to this, if you ain’t within the culture (black culture) and you’re just some suburbian white kid who claims they have a ton of black friends then you probably shouldn’t use it.
Also you can thank white people from the past for making the word “offensive” in the first place once overt discrimination/racism became frowned upon. At a certain point in time the only white people who used that word were 9/10 racist and those who didn’t generally weren’t. So if there were white people even way back then who knew it was wrong to use it even when it was socially acceptable to do so, why does it suddenly change now if you aren’t racist. Like did the meaning of the word suddenly lose it meaning when uttered out of a white person’s mouth? No white person I personally associate myself with has ever asked why it isn’t okay to say it because they get it and have more important things worry about. I kid you not it’s always a white person who isn’t remotely close to any black people at all.
I am offended when anyone says it, "White", "Black", Puerto Rican, Mexican. . .
I have gotten into many arguments over it with other "Black" folk. I just don't see how "Black" people can use the word and claim it means something positive. I guess it would not bother me so much, if they just admitted the truth. That the n-word is one of the most disgusting insults one can utter. And if they are cool with that, I get to a point where I can accept that they have a negative view of themselves and of other "Black" people, even if I totally disagree with their views.
Keyword “many”, which implies those with a multitude of perspectives on the issue because if you have I seriously doubt you’d still think the way you do. If you’ve already made up your mind about how you feel about something then what’s the point in trying to “hear” others out on their views? Do you truly enter these “discussions” to understand why people think the way they do or to just try and prove your point?
@jaydtre I don't even understand what you are trying to say. Maybe you need to take a minute.
1. You don't have a crystal ball, so you don't know who I know or who i talk to or how I talk to them.
2. I do plenty of listening.
3. And I articulate counter arguments
So if you want to offer up a defense for using the n-word, while trying to "ban" everyone not "Black" from using it, have at it.
I stand by my words. People who use the n-word are almost certain to think negative things about "Black" people. That includes the "Black" people who use the word.
I posted because I thought what you posted was rather close-minded and self-righteous for someone your age (if that is in fact your real one). Basically you performed a dick flute solo. Yeah you spoke your piece alright, but at the same time bashed people who simply think different than you as if you uphold the moral high ground of this matter. You think your truth is the ultimate truth simply because it fits your narrative. My very existence and countless others shits on your bullshit ass synopsis.
I'm white.
I will absolutely not say the 'N-Word' to avoid just saying 'Ngger'. That's dumb. Context and intent matter, and I will happily argue with any black person who wants to play the victim card over the very utterance of 2 syllables, regardless of context.
The very position that a word gains or loses offensive power just based on who is speaking is, in itself racist.
sorry, the link didn't work

@Other_Tommy_Wiseau Cool. Thanks for your non-argument.
no problem. the statement you made is so incomprehensibly stupid, that i don't think i could come up with an actual argument because the starting point is simply soooo low.
@Other_Tommy_Wiseau I would offer a comeback, but your non-argument is so transparently a cover for your lack of wit and intellect I won't bother.
I've literally (not figuratively or metaphorically but LITERALLY) knocked a white bitch's teeth out for saying the n word and I expect to do it again if a similar situation arises. talk shit get hit is what I have to say. bitches wanna say its free speech but you're also free to get your ass beat so TRY IT IF YOU WANT BUT IT won't END WELL IF YOU'RE NEAR ANYONE LIKE ME.
Little one, all you are going to do is end up in jail. And so many people would like to see yet another person of color behind bars.
How can that be worth it?
worry about yourself, I got me
@cherrybugs Interesting. "I got me". You say it just like it is a rational response.
I just want to say, that you are right. In theory, you are a grown woman. So when they come for you, remember that. Don't scream racism. Don't scream unfairness.
You choose whatever end will befalls you.
Good luck.
@cherrybugs u say" bitches wanna say its freedom of speech but you're also free to get ur ass beat" following that ur free to get ur ass locked up...
but I won't be because I know how the world works
They do that is what my x says. He told me not to say that or else I will be in jail just doing it. He says it is acceptable if only it is also coming from another black people.

Depends on the context. I think its immature for anyone to assume that saying it is automatically racist. Especially when you have black people using it all the time. Isn't it more racist to have a word only your race is allowed to use? Anyway, i think its largely a contextual issue. If you're using it in a derogatory sense then sure, someone has the right to be offended but if you're quoting someone or using it as an example then i see no issue with it
>> I find it odd that people that say they are offended by it- say it all the time?
They are hypocrites.
As for me, I don't have problems calling niggеr a niggеr, if he indeed acts like one.
Sorta:

Pretty sure even those men pictured on the left were called niggers. It didn’t matter how much money you made, who you worked for, how big your house was, or how you carried yourself. You’re still a n**. Also I doubt you’ve ever called anyone by your definition of n** to their face haha
@jaydtre
You assume I won't fight back if some low-IQ person will assault me?
Sure, numbers matter and folks are different (some are weaker, some are stronger and/or more skilled), but when forced to fight, I'm as pragmatic in it as pragmatic in most of the things I do -- therefore not above using the most dirties tactics/methods to ensure my victory.
>> the court system isn’t, not by a long shot.
Well, that's good to hear.
@jaydtre
By the way, sorta reminds me an interesting case:
While in the UK, I became friendly with Ghana's ambassador's son called "Cross". Obviously, he was black (literally) as night (in a sense I've literally lost him in a dark once :D ). We became quite friendly towards each other.
Sometimes I would jokingly address him as "nigga" and he would call me "nigga" back.
The reaction of Negroids around was like "WTF?".
Makes me laugh to this day.
No. Saying a word doesn't offend me. I'm not offended. A white dude can at it all they want. However, I get annoyed on their intent. If someone says it passively, who cares? It's when it's made to be blatantly racist, or those who say ignorant shit and claim they aren't racist that gets on people's nerves. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it ain't a damn mongoose
Also, 88% of this site are white people. Most of these buttholes aren't going to be offended
I believe that there are people who often get offended that have no right to be offended, because they are white and aren't affected by the word at all. Let the colored people speak and say whether or not they are offended. And if they aren't offended, you would be making a fool out of yourself to tell them that they should
Other: I don't use it, but i don't feel offended by others using it, i do however think they should stop using it. That's at least for Swedish version. The English sounds less vile, I wouldn't say it to or in front of a black person, but i might say jokingly "wazzup, (n-word)?" to my absolute closest friends whom wouldn't take offence to it.
for real, nobody cares. They only PRETEND that it's so offensive because they're so obsessed with their victim mentality. Then they turn right around and use the same language.
I don't normally say it, but when I have said it, it was definitely in an intentionally antagonistic way when I am about to fight someone that has wronged me and they had used similar language about my race.
Ay ay.,.. wsup my niggas? lmao oh shit. Wondering how many downvotes I'll get rn.
Lmfao ay.. asker.. aren't you that chick that looks like a cat?
www.girlsaskguys.com/.../q2706821-do-i-look-like-a-cat
Ayeeee- lmao yes.
Oh my goodness gracious marry me
I find it Rude and Crude.
However, When I hear Someone call Someone else Trailer Trash, I suspect they Got it coming. xx
No, it's quite racist allowing people of certain groups do one action and not allowing a certain group not to.
Many have no problem when a Hispanic says the word but when a 'white' person says it, it's the end of the world.
Well very few Hispanic had slaves. same with Asians. White peole had slaveys and they still did segregation.
@GoodGuyGregGGG Africans had slaves though, how come Africans are allowed to say it? (Not talking about African Americans)
I'm African and we rarely use the N word. Maybe a few idiots do but the majority of us do not like that word at all
@IvoirianGirl20 Same goes for me but I'm not talking about whether Africans like to use it or not I'm asking why are they even allowed if they were the ones selling the slaves to begin with (Not talking about all African regions).
I don't understand it either but that word means monkey to me. That's all I'm saying
@IvoirianGirl20 the word means nothing to me and I don't really care if people say it, no ones actually says it to me anyway.
Are you even Black?
@IvoirianGirl20 By the general definition yes I'm considered 'Black'.
African slaves. And American slave are a lot different you guys rasied fucking cattle.
People always wanna bring up well African slaves as a argument. Yes we know this every one had slaves
But
Segregation and mental fucking warefare you guys did is a lot different.
Building statues and naming jails after slave catchers and owners. Hanging people even though slavery was over years ago. So that why WHITE PEOPLE can't Say it. Not all of u are bad obviously white people fought to free slaves
@GoodGuyGregGGG Only and Only African Americans cry slavery 24/7 the rest of the world Africans are more civilised, it's not an African American thing, it's an American thing.
Maybe becuase the Africans never had to deal with u white with racist white people.
I don't carw about slavery. More so what happen to after slavery emit til? Imprisonment targeting of black people these are thing i never hear brought up. Always wanna talk about slavery nobody cares abouy that why in 1955 can some one just kill a child and multiate him and not go to jail.
But its fine its in the past you have no moral connection to it
You black people need to get over it. Nobody out to get you
I’m not offended by that word I just don’t respect the people who use it. It makes them look ignorant
I just say if you're not fit to say it then just avoid the trouble and don't say it at all
Lmao idgaf when a white person uses the N word.
Why should I be offended when no one cares if someone calls a Indian person "dothead" or an Asian "chink"?
I am white and plenty of black people have used the term cracker in my presence. I am not bothered by words.
Um yeah. What if i dont say and white person still say it then can i be offended. You just assume all black people say it
Never said that. I don't think anyone should say that word honestly.
Stop it you implied it. Dont be under cover be upfront. Reread your question and then get back to me
@blahblah33 He's kinda right. Why would you assume all black people use the N word? Have you met every single black person in the planet to confirm your thoughts just because you hear SOME black folks saying it all the time? C'mon!
Never said that? I just said some black people that say it- are offended when other people say, which makes no sense.
It could go for white people as well? I have meet people who say it- but act like the word is vile when around black people.
Final thought. how u gonna say it and still be friends or respect a black person. Even if they do say how can u respect them. Just knowing the simple fact the meaning behind the word when you use not when they use it.
Say it all you want i just wouldn't fuck u if u did. Any black person that is cool with u is a uncle tom or using u to get to their goal
@blahblah33 Why are you acting so damn innocent all of a sudden? Lmao 😂😂
How tf am I acting innocent? I’m proving my point.
Nah. I cleary see what you're doing. You feel attacked so you changed your tone. You weren't trying to prove a point :)
I never wanted to attack you but I was questionning your change of behaviour
Bitch what the fuck are you talking about.
And calling me a bitch is your way of showing me how immature you're really are. ❤
I have no idea what you are talking about to be honest. There was no change in my behavior, and you’re just starting shit. So bounce, lmao.
I cringe when I hear it. And I hear it all the time. I was raised in the Midwest into a Christian family. My parents best friends were black. I won't bash or say don't say that. But people are aware I don't think it's okay and I don't say it.
No. Racial slurs are either all ok or none of them are ok. And because they are so widely used, I think its ok for people to use them
It depends how it's said, saying it in like the more modern use and not being offensive is more than fine, but it shouldn't be derogatory
Im not offended by it free speech. Are you referring to the in term ending in ga? Cause if so it sounds super ridiculous when they say that.
I think that it doesn't need to be said and can hurt people so I would say NO WAY should white people be able to say the N word
