In history books, its Columbus thats credited for discovering America, even though there were people there before him, he was the one who made it possible for it to become what is it today.

For example, I'm pretty sure you agree that the internet/computer is a recent invention which you probably give white people 100% credit on. But the internet would have never been possible had it not been for the numbering system (0,1,2,3,4,5) that the Indians created over a thousand ago. Had it not been for the Indians creating the numbering system along with the number 0 which is crucial in binary coding, then the majority of the technology that you are surrounded by would not be possible.

As for the Middle Ages not occurring without others, well it's simple to understand. The Middle Ages occurred after the collapse of the Roman Empire in Western Europe. Do you honestly think there would have even been a Roman Empire had it not been for the contributions of past civilizations like Greece, Egypt, Mesopotamia, etc, which all gave Romans a reference point for how a civilization should look?

And before you ask, yes, Ancient Rome was heavily influenced by previous civilizations especially Greece who in turn were heavily influenced by Egypt.

When I say they were the only ones motivated enough to conquer other areas, I'm talking more about during the age of exploration where they conquered the Americas, which propelled many Western European countries financially and economically along with playing a crucial role in spreading their culture to other side of the world. During the age of exploration, Western Europeans were the only ones who were motivated enough to conquer the Americas along with other areas that were not claimed. The Chinese, Ottoman Empire, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe, were fully aware of the Americas existence after the word spread throughout Afro-Eurasia.

However, neither one of them were motivated enough to try their luck in the Americas. Hell, the Chinese were across the street from the Americas and they still didn't care about conquering it and spreading their culture. That's where my comment came from. Western European culture spread like wildfire over the past 400 years because they were hell-bent on doing such. Had the world Empires had that much motivation, then the world as we know it would be very different.

And the reason they didn't try to conquer it later on was because Amerigo Vespucci and Christopher Columbus were the ones who discovered it, and that discovery was immediately followed by conquerors from all over Europe who were already very good at conquering and killing others so the risks simply outweighed the benefits. Once Europeans established their culture there, people from all over the world started settling there, proving that they all wanted to, they just either didn't have the means, or weren't willing to take the risks necessary.

Also, as for India being so poor well you can blame that on the British for doing such a wonderful job at colonizing India for close to 200 years. Prior to the British's arrival, the India continent accounted for 25% of the worlds GDP (2nd only to China who accounted for over 30%). When the British left in 1947, that number was reduced to 2%.

The reason the Ottomans and the Chinese didn't try to colonize the Americas was because there was no incentive to do so. Both empires had control over vast areas with a lot of resources in the Eurasia continent.

They were content with what they already had. So when word got around that there were more places they could take over, they simply didn't care. Europeans were more hell-bent on colonizing because their continent is very small, with limited resources and a growing dense population. So that unclaimed land to the west was far more attractive to them than it was to others.

Europe and America are still around but they have declined in global influence. You have FAILED to showcase why the world would suddenly stop innovating because of the disappearance of a single group.
