Tanks, attack helicopters, drones, bullets: What U. S.-supplied arms mean for the Taliban Oh My!
When Taliban fighters rode triumphantly into Kabul airport early Tuesday, they did so on U. S.-supplied pickup trucks, wearing U. S.-supplied uniforms and brandishing U. S.-supplied M4 and M16 rifles. Then they spent hours examining the bonanza of materiel that American troops unintentionally bequeathed them in what had been the U. S.' last redoubt in Afghanistan.
The choppers were just part of the Taliban’s haul. The group’s blindingly fast sweep through most of Afghanistan netted it billions of dollars' worth of U. S. military equipment and weaponry given to the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, which collapsed in the 11 days before the Taliban seized Kabul, the capital, on Aug. 15. Afghan soldiers who didn’t surrender shed their uniforms and gear and turned tail, following many of their military and political leaders.
For their effort, Taliban fighters reaped almost 2,000 Humvees and trucks; more than 50 armored fighting vehicles, including Mine-Resistant Ambush Protection vehicles, or MRAPs; scores of artillery and mortar pieces; more than a dozen aging but working helicopters and attack aircraft; a dozen tanks; seven Boeing-manufactured drones; and millions upon millions of bullets, according to a list compiled by the Oryx Blog, which tracks weapons used in conflicts.

Anyway, I'm starting to think this was all intentional. To make Biden look bad enough to impeach and replace with Kamala, to screw over Afghanistan by putting the Taliban in charge, to later f*ck up the Taliban by mass bombing the country and taking all the natural resources (oil) for themselves, or some other reasons. This seems too poorly done to just be a massive f*ck up.

I wouldn't count cohabitation. There is plenty of that going around. They either eventually get married, break up, or wait around for that 7 years when they are made common law marriages.

But he is right, the internal corruption of the Afghan government, and Army, made it really hard for any legitimate members of the army to do their jobs, Biden was a little harsh when he said they don’t want to fight. It’s more they were running out of ammunition, but who can blame them, nobody wants to die, besides the problem of selling munitions on the black market, the ghost battalions, the American army probably knew that the taliban was planning a offensive, so to save face in America having what would be considered the worst military defeat in history, they planned to withdraw probably over a year ago. Anyway what can you do with people that can’t read or write, but have been holding weapons when they We’re probably wearing diapers.
@TessP I think it’s something military’s factor into their day to day operations, it’s not really joe Biden’s decision, if your army wanted to not risk their men lives to save machinery, I think that’s responsible.

yeah I don’t blame them for getting pissed off either. It’s unfair because Afghanistan May have been more successful if Iraq was never invaded. No one will ever know, politicians are useless.
