During Ricky's last stand up routine, he was lamenting that the Brexit issue was put to a referendum vote. He hated that, because he said that the average person is far too fucking stupid to vote on important matters.
But Ricky came to a fair and diplomatic solution. He said that we should remove the "Do Not Drink" label on a gallon of bleach, wait 2 years, and whoever is still alive, can vote.

People should be allowed to vote after passing an exam that initially only 20% of the public could pass on the American government, current events, and the candidates and what their positions on the issues are. The public should be able to request a textbook equal to a college-level 3 semester hour course and/or attend a free course offered at various locations day and night three hours a week for 16 weeks requiring exams and 2 hours of study for each hour in class. Those that don't pass should be allowed to take it as many times as they desire. 95% of the people willing to study and or attend the class for 48 hours should pass.

That way, the right to vote is not denied to anyone. However, most people would never vote because they wouldn't be willing to attend classes and/or study enough to pass the exam. The exam should be good for 12 years and, after 12 years, those that pass again should be exempt from taking additional exams.

I live in alaska and the state government has been pushing for new fossil fual mining in projected land. The biggest problem is all the world's largest banks don't want to give them a loan. The world as a whole is devaluing fossil fual where new projects won't be able to recover such a large loan.

All the banks in my city and even more rural areas are pushing for solar energy. Every bank here has solar panels and for off villages are trying to make a compact to install solar for cheaper costs together. Which is crazy because we all get a PFD from the oil resources from the pipe line. Basically a stimulus check every year from the 1960s. $1000 plus dollars every year from the oil production.

That oil will not laat forever and we need better long term solutions.
