Do not let anyone make you feel ashamed of who you are and who your ancestors were.
It is NOT wrong to be proud of being white. Be proud of what you are despite what this cancel culture wants you to belive.
No because it's stupid and racist to scapegoat an entire race of people for the suffering of another.
It's not wrong to be thankful and satisfied with your own accomplishments, regardless of pigmentation.
Sense of belonging, culture, traditions, identity and heritage are evidently more important than one's accomplishments.
I view those as parts of ones' "accomplishments" - they belong if they choose to, they can accept prior traditions, etc.
The individual doesn't produce culture. That's a collective effort, but since Americans reject anything collective that doesn't involve creating wars abroad or enforcing woke stuff, our communities are dying in front of us.

No, but I should be proud of being European-American and I do efforts to bring positive things to my community, and this is something I want to see other people do as well. Unfortunately, they don't do it because they have an individualistic mindset. White people see their neighbors sink in drugs and alcohol, commit suicide, get impoverished, but do nothing to solve it. The reason is that they lack a collective identity.

yeah I as an Italian don't have much in common with a Southern American boy tbh. Your upbringing is going to affect you a lot more. You go from the USA to like Belarus for example things are gonna be WAY different between us. A black man in America is naturally going to have more in common with his white American counterparts then black men in the Congo.

Because there is no reason to be proud of being white, you can be proud of where you came from, your heritage, your culture, but being proud of "being white" seems pretty shallow, that's like being proud you have blonde hair and blue eyes.

It's not the case for Americans, since they don't know exactly their roots and lost touch with their heritage and traditions. An American can either be proud of being white or European-American.
I guess my question would be why would someone feel the need to be proud of less pigmentation in their skin? Honestly it's nothing to be proud of, more skin damage, higher risk of skin cancer, faster aging, etc. If you want to be proud of something, be proud of your accomplishments, be proud of what you do, your traditions, your culture and how you treat people, not the lack of melanin in your skin...

Smartass, it's obviously that I'm referring to whites as an ethnicity, which includes culture, heritage and traditions, it's just that European heritage has been erased from the American society due to consumerism and liquid modernity, so it's hard to specify what kind of European heritage we have since most Americans lost touch with their family heritage.
I think a Euro-American identity should be created and is necessary to provide meaning and sense of belonging to us, something that neither liquid modernity nor consumerism can do.

Stop complaining, you said something extremely stupid and all called it out. Although I agree that we shouldn't be proud of our skin color by itself, evolution didn't give us a white skin to make us more prone to skin damage, skin cancer and the effects of aging, but to adapt us to a certain kind of environment.
And you said that because this topic evidently makes you uncomfortable. You knew that I'm arguing against a social taboo right from the beginning.
