When people hear "Middle East," the first and often only countries they think of are Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Iraq. The overwhelming majority of people in those countries don't look anything close to white, but if you venture into Syria, parts of Turkey, Israel, or most of the -stan countries to the northeast of the sandbox, you see a much more prominent Slavic and European influence in the gene pool. Probably 20% of the Syrians I worked with a few years back could pass for Leprechauns if they wanted to.
Girl I posted is Morrocan
You just mentioned like 3-4 countries under the same “feature” category and literally none look alike as a saudi i can confirm some saudis literally look white others look black and others are in between it a country we have it all bro
Who the hell cares? I was in Egypt for a couple weeks and never once did I stop and think "do these people look white or not?"
However if you put on a hijab, you are now marked as a foreign element in my country, regardless of your ethnicity. Culture is more important than skin tone.
You're generalizing all white people
Besides, why are you so obsessed with this topic?
the same way many people think all Asians look alike
no big deal
Just to clarify I do not believe that but just to show that ignorance exists and people only know what they're exposed to.
There is no such thing called middle eastern features. The middle east is a mix of many ethnicities and cultures. Some countries are in Asia and some in Africa and some are pretty much borderline Europeans/ Caucasians or Persians

Because we’re guessing and we honestly have no idea. There is so many different white groups around the world now we’re guessing
A lack of phenotypical familiarity with Middle Easterners, probably. It's more a matter of ignorance than malice.
Are you sure white people are the only ones that think this? Or do you feel the need to single them out for some reason?
They mostly say it through
Because they aren't familiar enough with Middle Eastern facial features.
Well you are doing the same by generalizing "white " people. It's not just whites. Other racial groups also think this way
They have created a stereotype of Arabic countries and Muslims and therefore everyone should have dark colour. But it's wrong, culture influences are global now.
There are ignorant people everywhere.
Do you feel better pointing it out?
Find something better to do you self righteous air head.
Stereotypical views of ethnicity. Are we bad for getting it wrong the first time?
Care to rephrase the question?
Can you define white?
Was there a poll of white people?
Ok.
Some from the Middle East have light skin.
They are dumb what can i say lmao
Never seen this myself but sure whatever
We don't get to see a lot of the women's faces.
You see men faces so?
So we assume that they all look like the guys.
Lol that's such a bad take. I mean men and women of all ethnicities have similar phenotype but but because of sexual dimorphism men and women look different. You don't need to see women face to know what middle Eastern look like. Men faces are enough
Racist !!!
I don’t know
who cares?
Ignorance
They think only European people are White and that Middle Eastern people are olive. But to be fair, I think TRUE Middle Eastern people are. I think the light skinned ones are mixed with Europeans. One of my coworkers even said that Persians are White because they're descended from Scandinavians who migrated south because of climate change. Whether or not this is true, I don't know, but it would explain it.
But officially, Middle Easterners are grouped in the same race as Europeans. And there are Middle Easterners who are Whiter than me. So if I see a White Middle Easterner, I just consider them White like me.
