Why is it so hard for people to accept that your gender expression doesn’t equal your gender or sexuality?

It’s just so tired, we as a society need to quit holding ourselves and others back by something as trivial as the way they choice to express themselves.

These gendered societally constructive stereotypes of gender are just limiting and exclusionary.

Throughout history there have been several different cultures across various continents that recognized gender as something that wasn’t limited to a binary.

Even the idea that vagina = female and male = penis is incorrect as their are intersex individuals that exist and are born with genitalia that doesn’t fit this limiting binary.

There are also animals like snails, clownfish, earthworms, and frogs that are hermaphrodites: which means they’re born with both “male” and “female”reproductive genitals. pseudohermaphrodism is a phenomenon that can be observed in some humans as well.
