Why do some people love big government to small government?

I have often wondered if people really understand the difference from big government to small government. A big government wants to have a control on how you live your life and what you do with it. A small government is a government that is small and does not have the far reach to have any say on what or how you live your life. A small government you have more freedom, where a big government is something that socialists love because then they would have more control on what people say and can say what you can or can't do.

Sort of Akin to a prisoner who wants to be taken care of the system, most people who are lost who don't want to work like the idea in being taken care of the system aka Big government, women are big advocates of these systems because most women tend to have kids to men who are complete useless tits and need support in the form of welfare or food stamps to help them. This is why there are so many single mothers around, they don't need men, they have big government to take care of them. Government gears social housing, free Obama phone, free health care dental, medical etc... I mean its great to be poor you get so much free shit!

Believe it or not, there's a huge number of people- in fact it's generally a majority of the world who would like for the government to take care of their needs. If you take basically any "free" benefit of government completely out of context, almost nobody is going to say no to:

- Healthcare- Living Allowance- Public Transportation (if it's reliable anyway)- Apartment Housing- EducationNow once you snap any of these into reality, it's hard to ignore the fact that somebody has to pay for all of these, nothing is actually free, and you're truly a moron if you believe "the rich will pay for it." Or in the case of the US, the government is so laughably corrupt and inefficient that no amount of taxing anyone from top to bottom would pay for even the systems it currently has let alone expanded government oversight. The larger you make anything, whether it's a corporation or a government bureaucracy, the less efficient it gets, and typically they start to demand "one-size-fits-all" solutions, which never work. In the event of a business monopoly or government control over really anything that results in zero competition, service quality also stagnates or even declines. You even see this in heavily regulated service industries like airlines even though on paper there's plenty of competition.

With "small government" the handfull lucky ones can exploit the masses.

Restrictions and laws by "big government" are usefull to protect those unlucky ones.

Minimal Wages/free weekends/national parks/protected environments/work safety regulations/education for everyone/Anti discrimination/abolishment of slavery/workers unions/... all these were put into place by governments, ofcourse the people had to fight for it first, but these guarentee the freedom for so many, so you have much more freedom with a bigger government.

Because with a larger government the collective resources can be utilized for health care, education, safety. The smartest minds can team up for a better society and improve society for everyone. Remember the government is elected and they represent the citizens

I would not call safety when the government can catch criminals and rapists and release them the next day. This is idea of big government is to tax the middle class and giver it all to the poor. Why should I have to work long hours so people like you can have free university and fail with no repercussions. You know what they say about the government job, Fat checks and no work.

Some people love big government because they get free stuff. They remain dependent children.
